Construction Is Moving FAST on Disney World’s Newest Hotel

There’s a NEW hotel coming to Disney World, and we’re keeping a close eye on construction.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge is currently being constructed on the shores of Bay Lake in the Magic Kingdom area. It’s going to be a hotel that blends Disney stories with the natural environment, and we can’t wait to see it in person! But long before that happens, we’ve got a construction update to share.

I recently made a trip to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge on a day reporting in Disney World, and while I was there, I headed out to the boat dock to hitch a ride to Magic Kingdom. From the boat launch, you can spot Lakeshore Lodge clearly across the water! Let me just say…things are coming along quickly.

There it is!

Zooming in on the construction a bit, you can see that the structures are formed for the hotel rooms in the tower-style buildings, and it looks like they’re in the process of adding glass doors to the balconies. There’s still plenty of exterior theming to be done, as things look a little bare at this stage.

A closer look

Based on construction, it looks like the hotel will also be home to multiple A-frame waterfront cabins. Some of these frames have been installed, but they don’t have much in the way of interior support yet — they’ve got a long way to go on some of these. But seriously, it looks like these cabins are going to have spectacular views!

This resort is set to open in 2027, so we have another full year before construction is complete, at least. They’re making really quick progress so far, and we can’t wait to get more details in the coming months. So far, the information is pretty basic.
