After A TWO MONTH Closure, This Disney's Hollywood Studios Attraction Will Reopen Later This Month

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a lot going on, that’s for sure, and that’s not going to be changing any time soon!

Two entire new lands are under construction (Muppets Courtyard is becoming Monsters, Inc. Land, and Animation Courtyard is transforming into The Walt Disney Studios), Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be closing on March 2nd, 2026 to become a Muppets version of the ride, not to mention the smaller projects going on around the park as well. However, one of those small refurbishments is coming to a close, it seems, because we now have a reopening date for Vacation Fun!

Vacation Fun closed on October 20th for a refurbishment, though Disney hasn’t really told us what has changed inside during this time. It’s possible something could have been updated, either in the theater itself, or with the screen/film, but regardless, it’s now showing times again starting December 27th!

The full name of this attraction is Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie, and it’s exactly what it sounds like — it’s a short film that celebrates Mickey and Minnie’s favorite vacation memories! You’ll see completely new animation mixed with clips from favorites like Panda-monium, Couples Sweaters, Potatoland, Croissant de Triomphe, Entombed, Dumb Luck, Al Rojo Vivo, Yodelburg, and Outback at Ya!.

Not to mention that everything in the theater is also themed to Mickey and Minnie! The seats, the floor, the gold and red screen and decor — we absolutely love it!

The fun doesn’t end after the film is over, though, because as you exit, you’ll see life-sized recreations of the various spots seen in the film (such as Potato Land!), and can take photos with them. You can also step into this room without seeing the film, so if you just need an air-conditioned spot to sit down, or you just would like to take photos with the decor, you can.
