We have a lot of favorite snacks in Disney World, and yes, we talk about them ALL the time. We’ll always order up a DOLE Whip when we need a refreshing cold treat. We’ll never turn down Totchos in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’ll also never pass by the Spring Roll Cart in Magic Kingdom without getting our beloved Pepperoni Spring Rolls.
Well, some NEW spring rolls have arrived in Hollywood Studios, and we had to see how they stack up to the spring rolls in Magic Kingdom. So we headed on over to Toy Story Land to the new Popcorn and Snacks stand to try out these new spring rolls and see how they compare!
We’ve already shared our excitement about the grand opening of the new Popcorn and Snacks stand in Toy Story Land (we’ve been following the construction of this new snack spot for a while!). Imagine our surprise when we found Pizza Planet Spring Rolls on the menu for $9.49. So, OF COURSE we grabbed them. But how do they compare to the Pepperoni Pizza Spring Rolls in Magic Kingdom?
Well…we’re pretty sure these are the EXACT SAME SPRING ROLLS. They look the same, and they taste the same. Here are the Magic Kingdom Spring Rolls for comparison:
We will say that the Pizza Planet Spring Rolls are a little less greasy than the last ones we had in Magic Kingdom. Like that’s it. You get the big round pepperonis stuffed in there, just like the ones in Magic Kingdom. Now, you will find plenty of mozzarella cheese in these rolls, along with some Italian spices and garlic, but the pepperoni is the star here. And all of it is wrapped in a wafer-thin crispy spring roll wrapper.
But wait, there is ONE big difference. The marinara sauce that comes with these is the Red Gold marinara sauce. This sauce is runny and not as good as the sauce you get in Magic Kingdom. We also like the cups in Magic Kingdom better because it makes for easier dipping.
Overall, though, now you don’t have to go to Magic Kingdom to get the Pepperoni Pizza Roll snacks. But we’ll still say we prefer the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls in Magic Kingdom. Maybe we’ll get some additional flavors in Toy Story Land eventually.
So yep, that’s how we feel about the new Spring Rolls, so you might want to head on over to Hollywood Studios to try them for yourself. And stay tuned to DFB for more Disney food reviews.
