When we’re looking for a dessert that’s going to blow our minds, we immediately head for The Cake Bake Shop on Disney’s BoardWalk.

A new cake slice has dropped!

Is it expensive? Absolutely, there’s no way of getting around that, but have we thought it’s been worth the price every time, especially from the bakery side that doesn’t require a reservation? YES. Time and time again! There’s a new cake slice available right now for the month of August, and, it won’t come as a shock to anyone, it’s an absolute BANGER.

A slice of the Boston Cream Pie Cake is available now at The Cake Bake Shop for $22. This is six layers of vanilla cake filled with homemade pastry cream and vanilla buttercream, topped with Cake Bake’s Belgian fudge frosting, vanilla buttercream dollops, and maraschino cherries.

It’s not often we see Boston Cream Pie desserts around Disney World, and this cake has us wondering why not! Like most Cake Bake slices, this cake is so light and so full of real, authentic vanilla flavor. It has an excellent crumb and just melts in your mouth, and the outer edge of rich, fudgy chocolate ganache just really elevates each bite. It’s everything that you want chocolate to be, and balancing it with these incredibly light layers of vanilla flavors is an absolutely perfect bite.

We could eat this ALL day

Anybody that is familiar with the classic Boston cream pie will absolutely love this, and those that aren’t will have a new favorite. We think it’ll be a real hit for both kids and adults thanks to the mix of solid flavors, and thanks to its size, it’s great for sharing. Though if you want it all to yourself, we won’t judge you!
