Yet another refurbishment is coming to Disney World soon, and it’s going to affect where you can grab one of our favorite snacks in all of the resort.
Mickey Beignets at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter is known for many things, but the delicious beignets at Scat Cat’s Club are one of the biggest ones. If you’re a big fan of this fluffy, delightful snack, you need to know that where you can snag them will be CHANGING for the coming few months. Don’t worry, you won’t have to go far, but it will change the flow of things!
It’s been confirmed that Scat Cat’s Club – Café and Scat Cat’s Club – Lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter will close beginning on October 6th. The refurbishment is expected to take until December for the Café, while the Lounge is expected to open in January 2027.

During the closure, a temporary bar will be available near the café from 5 PM to 11 PM each night. Beignets and coffee will also be available at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory, located just a few steps away. If you’re visiting during the Halloween season, don’t worry; Ghoulish Delight beignets will also be available there through November 1st!

The Ghoulish Beignets are some of our favorites all year long, so if you haven’t yet had them, we highly recommend grabbing them on your trip if you’re visiting before November 1st.

Due to the resort restrictions at Disney Springs, the Café and Scat Cat’s Club at Port Orleans French Quarter is unreachable unless you are staying there or coming over from the parks. It doesn’t take a dining reservation so you can’t book one and take the bus/boat over. They had the chance to move the beignets out of a restricted resort zone and failed.
Will they still have the allergy friendly ones available?
Hope they will still be the warm fresh ones, not like they have been at the Sassagoula sitting out, and all flat.
