Editor’s Note: This post has been updated to reflect that further dates have been added for the Amorette’s Cake Decorating Experience!
If you’ve paid a visit to Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs, then you’ve likely spent more than a few minutes taking in all the gorgeous dome cakes on display.
And if you’ve ever wondered, “How do they DO that?…” well, now you have the chance to find out for yourself! The Amorette’s Cake Decorating Experience is now available for booking on Friday mornings from March 31 through May 5, 2017. UPDATE: Dates have been added through August 2017 for Amorette’s Cake Decorating Experience, and are taking place up to three mornings per week. Scroll to the end of this post for the booking link.
Guests will learn the culinary technique used to decorate Amorette’s signature Mickey Dome Cake. This 90-minute class starts in Amorette’s Show Kitchen at 9:00 am (before the bakery opens to the public). The instructor for the class will share stories, tips, and describe the process of decorating an Amorette’s Dome Cake from initial design to the finished product.
Specifically, participants will learn how to pour the glacage and coat the ears, tail, belt, and buttons on Mickey with edible paint.
Capped at 12 guests per class, this small-group experience will include non-alcoholic and — for guests 21 and over — alcoholic refreshments. Guests will take their Mickey masterpiece with them upon completing the class (or Amorette’s will gladly hold cakes by request for pick up later in the day).
The price for Amorette’s Cake Decorating Experience is $129 plus tax, which covers up to two guests decorating one cake (participants are required to be at least 10 years old to join). Guests wishing to make reservations for more than two people will need to make more than one reservation. Participants staying at a Disney Resort will be provided transportation to Disney Springs starting at 8:00 AM.
Reservations are now available via the Walt Disney World website.

Pam — Most likely not; it can be tricky to get those high-demand reservations. I hope you can get into one soon. Best of luck!
