Ale & Compass Restaurant is the table service component of the Ale & Market dining concept at Disney’s Yacht Club, which also includes The Market at Ale & Compass and the Ale & Compass Lounge.

Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the atmosphere offers a gastropub ambience with comfort food (New England-inspired) featured on the menu.

The Atmosphere at Ale & Compass Restaurant

Welcome, sailors! Ale & Compass is a coastal-inspired restaurant designed to evoke the ambiance of a cozy lighthouse.

With darker lighting and nautical elements, the restaurant continues the Yacht Club theme throughout, featuring comfortable booths, chairs, and tables.  The restaurant has very cozy vibes. The lighting is fairly dim, which results in a calm ambience.

The decor of this restaurant meshes well with the interior of the Yacht Club Resort, and you can see similar inspirations in both.

Enjoy a respite at Ale & Compass Restaurant if…

• You want a calm, cozy, sit-down meal that feels like you stepped into a seaside lighthouse, not a theme park food court. Ale & Compass is one of the best “quiet reset” restaurants just outside of EPCOT. It’s especially clutch when your group needs a breather from crowds and noise.
• You’re traveling with a mixed crew: picky eaters, seafood people, “I just want something comforting” people. The menu leans New England comfort and classic seafood, which means it’s easy to keep everyone happy without anyone having to pretend they “love foam.”
• You want flexibility. It does breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so it works for “before the parks,” “midday escape,” or “quiet dinner after fireworks feet.”
• You’re watching price but still want table service. This spot is a nice middle ground between quick-service and signature splurge.

Choose a different restaurant if…

• You want loud, high-energy, “my kids need entertainment with their dinner” dining. This is more peaceful and polished than playful, so some kiddos may find it a little… politely boring.
• You’re trying to do Disney on the tightest possible budget. It’s not signature-level pricey, but it’s still a sit-down meal that can climb fast once you add apps, desserts, and “well we’re here, so…” drinks.
• You’re banking on last-minute walk-up seating at peak times. Reservations are recommended, and this spot can be popular because it’s convenient for the EPCOT-area resorts.

• Ale & Compass serves plenty of options for carnivores, but vegans will also find full meal options on the menu.
• The popular buffet option officially ended in July 2026.
