As one of the busiest in the country, the airport offers a lot of routes to other parts of the U.S. and the world. It even got a massive expansion with the addition of Terminal C last year. But now, MCO is adding MORE trip options for those coming to and from Orlando!

It seems like airports adjust how they do things all the time which means you’ve gotta prepare for changes before you even arrive at the airport. You also have to deal with questions like, are you really getting the best deal on your flight? Did you pack everything you need? (I know I’m gonna forget something important…) So many questions! And then when you’re on the plane, it’s very likely you’ll be dealing with less-than-ideal personal space and legroom. Those seats are pretty close together as-is, but what if there were more seats ABOVE you? Yes, that may become a thing.

If you’re flying out of Orlando soon, there’s a new change you need to be aware of that may take many guests by surprise.

With most major holidays, Disney World sees an increase in crowds. And when crowds increase, that can create some problems for guests. We could see an increase in the price of Genie+ (who remembers it being $35 for Spring Break?!). We could see park pass reservations fill up and advance dining reservations get harder to find. But there is one thing that just got easier for the holiday weekend.
We’ve been keeping a close eye on the Brightline train — a near-high-speed rail system that will span much of south and central Florida with a stop at the Orlando International Airport.

It could usher in a whole new method of transportation for folks heading to Disney World, and we even got to check out a look inside the new airport station. And now, it looks like we’re one step closer to that station being open!

We don’t blame you — the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is well underway, a new ride has opened in Magic Kingdom, and even more new attractions will be here before we know it. Ever since Disney World announced the discontinuation of Magical Express back in 2021, we’ve been looking for alternate transportation to the airport.

One of the early options that emerged was the Brightline train — a near-high-speed rail system that was supposed to build stations at both Disney Springs and the Orlando International Airport. Plans for the Disney Springs station were ultimately scrapped, but the train will still have stops at the airport and near the Orlando Convention Center. And now, we’ve got a FIRST look inside the station at the airport!
