You might already be planning a visit to this airport as your way to get to/from your home and Walt Disney World, but there’s a lot to do in the airport aside from stressfully walking to/from your gate and running to the restroom before your flight takes off. There are some seriously incredible restaurants here (including ones run by folks at or coming to Disney Springs!), theme park stores you won’t want to miss, and more. Something NEW Is Coming to the Orlando International Airport

The new terminal at Orlando International Airport just opened last year, but it continues to grow and expand.

Terminal C is pretty huge, and it has a lot of popular things, including Sunshine Diner (which is homed by Chef Art Smith, who also owns Homecomin’ in Disney Springs) and Wine Bar George (which is also in Disney Springs). Terminal C is also home to the Brightline train station, which will be opening soon. But something else NEW is also coming to Terminal C.

NEWS: Orlando Airport Gets $69 Million for Expansion

The Orlando International Airport (MCO) has received lots of feedback (both positive and negative) on the newly constructed Terminal C — the largest terminal in the Orlando Airport that stretches over half a mile and is filled with state-of-the-art security, delicious dining, and architecture inspired by the sky itself.

According to the Orlando Airport’s website, MCO is already preparing to take Terminal C to new heights. MCO was recently awarded $69 million in federal funds for two Terminal C expansion projects. The Federal Aviation Administration awarded nearly $1 billion to airports across the country for projects that improve the passenger experience. MCO was one of approximately 100 airports in the country to receive funding.
