The gondola system connects EPCOT and Hollywood Studios with the Riviera Resort, the Caribbean Beach Resort, the Pop Century Resort, and the Art of Animation Resort, making it a key piece of Walt Disney World’s infrastructure. Which means that, when the Skyliner goes down, things can be a bit of a nightmare.
Transportation at Disney World is supposed to make your trip easier, but there’s a major hiccup coming soon.

From January 25th, 2026, through January 31st, 2026, the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. While complimentary bus service will be available, this closure could still have a big impact on how you get to and from the parks. We have some breaking Disney World Skyliner news! A portion of this popular transportation method is currently down, and guests are being rerouted to Disney buses to get to their destinations. The Skyliner line between EPCOT and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is currently closed, and guests are being directed to buses to get to EPCOT.

When we arrived at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort on our way to EPCOT, we noticed a backup on the EPCOT line. After about 15 minutes, the line was cleared out, and we were routed to buses in order to get to EPCOT. [Read more…]
UPDATE: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has reopened. The ride was down for about an hour due to technical difficulties, according to a Cast Member.
Disney World is BUSY right now, but that’s to be expected. It’s still the holiday season, after all!

There’s also something weird going on at Disney World today, too — while Magic Kingdom had some surprisingly low wait times this morning, EPCOT had some shockingly HIGH wait times. Those wait times might just get a little longer, too, because one popular ride there is currently closed.
Uhhh…Disney’s been having some issues recently.

Within the past week, Disney World faced many struggles, like flooding, canceled shows, closed attractions, and more! And now, it seems like that bad luck has rubbed off on Disneyland, as they’ve had a ton of attractions go down today!
UPDATE: As of about 5:15PM, Splash Mountain was showing a 60 minute wait in My Disney Experience. Be sure to check for any future closures.

But, sometimes all you want to do is ride the classic rides — like one of Magic Kingdom’s three big mountains for example. Well, if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom today and planning to do the 3 mountain challenge, you might find a bit of an issue.
