Now, I’m an avid Dairy Queen fan and will inhale a Blizzard in minutes, but let’s just say that I was utterly surprised when I recently learned that Dairy Queen’s sweet soft-serve treats are NOT ice cream. Wait…what?

Back in April, ALDI offered Casa Mamita Churro Bites, mini churros filled with chocolate hazelnut cream. However, according to the FDA, the product has been recalled because it may contain undeclared milk.

Well, we just learned about a coffee recall that could affect the coffee sitting on our shelves and on your shelves, too. According to NBC, the FDA just recalled thousands of pounds of coffee for being mislabeled.
Red Dye No. 3 is a food additive you’ll find in foods like candy, baking decorations, frostings, cookies, toaster pastries, and more.

However, the additive has been under fire for some time, and in 2023, the state of California actually banned the use of Red Dye No. 3 in foods sold in that state. Now, that ban has extended to the entirety of the U.S. CNN reports that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has officially banned the additive from all food, drinks, and ingested drugs sold in the country.

Moving forward, health officials have been working to possibly put vaccine passports in place, while the CDC has stated that fully vaccinated people can be outdoors without a mask.
