2025 Festival Favorites
Yes, the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival has been going on for about a month now, but a NEW food booth opened on September 21st. It’s called Festival Favorites and it’s bringing back some of OUR personal festival faves, as well as a new (to this location, anyway) snack. So, does this booth still deliver? Let’s find out.
The 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival kicks off August 29, 2019, and runs for a record 87 days until November 23 — the longest Food and Wine Festival to date!

We know, we know… we talk about the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival a lot around here. Like, a LOT, a lot.
And can you blame us? It’s our favorite time of year, and we can’t wait to dig into all the new flavors like Brazil’s Layered Meat Pie with Mashed Yucca (as well as some of our old standbys — I’m looking at you, Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup) at the Festival Marketplace Booths this year.
But let’s say your Disney World travel dates fall outside of the Festival dates of September 25 – November 16th. What’s a Disney food fan to do?

You may have passed the Refreshment Coolpost a bajillion-and-one times on your jaunts around World Showcase without thinking much of it. Kid-friendly fare is the primary focus, with the main offerings of hot dogs and frozen yogurt (for a time it was a super yummy pineapple) providing options for picky eaters far away from the American Adventure Pavilion. Welcome to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
It’s one of my favorite parts of the Festival — tasting my way around World Showcase, and then going home to try my hand at a few new recipes!
Today, we’re visiting the Poland Marketplace Booth for a taste of traditional fare. This year, Poland offers two varieties of Pierogies.
Similar to dumplings, you’ll find them stuffed with sauerkraut or potato at the Festival, depending on which dish you choose.
Today, we’ll take a closer look at Potato Pierogies served with Kielbasa.
Kielbasa & Potato Pierogie with Caramelized Onions and Sour Cream
If you’ve ever wanted to make your very own pierogies from scratch, here’s your chance!
Serves 4 (16 Pierogies)
Kielbasa:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 garlic clove, peeled and finely chopped
1 cup fresh diced tomatoes
coarse salt, freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 pound boiled Polish smoked Kielbasa sausage
