Disney’s Magical Express is set to be discontinued in 2022, meaning guests will have to find another way to get from Orlando International Airport to their Disney hotels.

Travel has been greatly impacted by the current global pandemic.

The United States has had restrictions on international travel since early 2020, but those restrictions will soon be lifted for vaccinated travelers. Cruises have also had to change their protocols and requirements, with Disney Cruise Line requiring that all passengers age 12 and over be vaccinated. With travel picking up again, we’ve seen airlines reintroduce routes to places like Orlando, and now, another airline is expanding its service.

At the end of 2021, Disney’s Magical Express will be discontinued and will conclude its service to and from Orlando International Airport. As of this writing, Disney has yet to announce their own replacement program that will shuttle guests from the airport to their resort hotel, but Mears, the company that operated Magical Express, has announced what they will provide.

Update on the Airport Train to Disney World

For quite a while now, we’ve been sharing updates on the Brightline train that’s coming to Central Florida!
