Teppan Edo in EPCOT’s Japan pavilion is Hibachi grill dining at its best!
With family-style seating around a large grill, a personal chef who creates your meal, and an exciting “show” every time, this is a great spot for group dining.
At Teppan Edo, you can make healthy choices without feeling weighed down when you leave. Everything is fresh and delicious.
The Meal at Teppan Edo
Teppan Edo keeps things relatively simple with a focus on teppanyaki-style entrees. Your meal comes with a salad, steamed rice, vegetables, and udon noodles.
There are delicious Japanese-inspired dishes, most of which are prepared right in front of you.
Some dishes don’t require the grill and are prepared in the back of the house, like the appetizers and sushi.

The Atmosphere at Teppan Edo
You’ll find Teppan Edo on the second floor of the Mitsukoshi Department Store building.
Teppan Edo leans heavily into the hibachi experience. The setup is classic teppanyaki – large communal tables surrounding a flat-top grill where your chef works their magic. There are several smaller dining rooms, helping with the cozy feel, and there are a few hibachi tables in each room.
Expect a lively atmosphere with clanking spatulas, onion volcanoes, and the occasional Mickey shape drawn in oil.
It’s loud but not overwhelming, making it a fun option for families or groups looking for an interactive meal.
Depending on how many people are in your party, chances are you might be sitting with other guests at your table. But the chefs put on a really entertaining and fun show, so you might not even mind sitting with strangers!
If you’ve been to a hibachi restaurant before, this will feel familiar, but with a slight Disney twist.

Nosh or Not
Trek to this Japanese restaurant if…
You’re looking for an entertaining experience with delicious food. Oftentimes at Disney World, you have to choose either great food or great entertainment — but not here.
You want to actually see your food being cooked. We love the teppanyaki-style service, where you’re seated around a large grill.
You want a hearty meal that doesn’t feel too heavy. It’s incredibly easy to find “healthy” dishes on the menu.
Make other restaurant plans if…
You have a teppanyaki restaurant in your hometown and want something unique. While we love the teppanyaki service, you might have a similar restaurant near you that you’re familiar with.
You or someone in your group has noise sensitivities. This restaurant can be loud due to all the cooking on the grills right in the dining room, along with the chefs putting on a show for patrons. Instead, try Shiki-Sai next door.
You want a quick dining experience. While Teppan Edo doesn’t require as much time as, say, Takumi-Tei, it can eat up a good chunk of time that you might want to spend touring EPCOT. Check out Katsura Grill for similar eats in a quick-service setting.
