Nobody ever talks enough about pie, right? Raise your hand if you’re with me. So recently, we asked for your favorite pies at Disney World and Disneyland, and we received some awesome recommendations!
DFB readers and Facebook Friends shared their suggestions for this yummy dessert via the Disney Food Blog Facebook page. Now let’s get into those pies!
The kinds of pie with the greatest shout-outs from our facebook fans were Key Lime, Mango, and Blueberry. Let’s grab a slice…
Key Lime Pie
At Olivia’s, the Key Lime Tart is very popular due to the thick graham cracker crust (that goes all the way up the sides of the dessert!), sweet and tart key lime filling, and a sweet and light meringue topping. Facebook fan Crystal N. highly recommends this tart (and so do I!!!)!
Tracy T. and Rebecca S. will halt their touring for any Key Lime tart or pie (I can relate)! Let us know if you get a chance to stop by Sunshine Tree Terrace for the new Key Lime Pie menu item when visiting the Magic Kingdom.
Other places for a dose of Key Lime pie or tart: T-Rex Cafe (Cosmic Key Lime Pie); Garden Grove (Raspberry Key Lime Tart); Maya Grill (Key Lime Dessert Shot); Crystal Palace, Shula’s Steak House, Good’s Food To Go, Wolfgang Puck Express, and House of Blues (Key Lime Pie);plus, Shutters, Grand Floridian Cafe, and Cape May Cafe (Key Lime Tart).
Next time that you’re headed to the Animal Kingdom, take the advice of readers and make an ADR for the Yak & Yeti Restaurant to finish your meal with Mango Pie! It’s a refreshing dessert with the perfect blend of sweet and tart.
While it’s not currently on the menu, Reader Nicole B. has scored this dessert at the Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe counter-service location.
Jennifer Y. likes the “cute little mini blueberry pies at Hungry Bear.” The Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland offers the mini blueberry pie served warm! The old-fashioned lattice crust topping is absolutely gorgeous.
Stephanie W. agrees “The one from Hungry Bear was good.”
One of my favorite Disney apple pies is at Whispering Canyon Cafe in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge!
The Apple Caramel pie is to die for. An incredible flavor and moistness — perfect way to end a meal!
