The Baked Goat’s Brie is good, but doesn’t pack as much of a cheese punch as we wish it did! The Kumquat Chutney is like a tangy marmalade!

The Biscuit and Salmon is a delicious dish! The tartare is fresh with lemon and dill, and the still-warm biscuit was a nice touch.

This salad offered very fresh and full-flavored tri-colored tomatoes!

The trifles are available individually, or as a trio as seen here. Each offers about two bites, and our favorite was the green tea!

The meatloaf sandwich is much more of a “ham” loaf, actually! ;-) The breaded shallots are a flavorful addition, and are spicy/salty. The sweet mustard is a fun extra.

The Bread Pudding is chock full of mushrooms. It’s like stroganoff without the meat!

The potato pancake is a classic German dish, and tastes that way. It’s more of a mashed potato/flour consistency than a pancake. Very good. (The stuff on top is the house made applesauce.)

The Hugo – Charles De Fere “Organic” Brut with Elderflower and Mint was a nice, light cocktail. Perfect for strolling the Showcase.

Florida Fresh Booth

Florida Fresh Menu

The Watermelon Salad is getting rave reviews from guests. A hearty portion of fresh ingredients really makes this dish.

The Shrimp and Stone Ground Grits offers three big, spicy shrimp and lots of sausage and sauce. It’s delicious when paired with the Tomato Wine.

The hearty Angel Food Cake is an awesome Spring dessert. The compote isn’t as sweet as you’d expect, but the whipped cream compensates!

Angel Food Cake with Mascerated Berries

The Tomato Wine is very unique — a bit zippy with added chiles. It tastes like tomatoes (natch), and has an alcohol content of 11%.

PINEAPPLE PROMENADE

  • Dole® Whip
  • Dole® Whip with Siesta Key Spiced Rum
  • Pineapple Upside Down Cake featuring Dole® Pineapple

  • Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade – Non Alcoholic
  • Samuel Adams® Cream Stout

The Dole Whip with Spiced Rum is a bit smaller than you’d expect if you’re thinking of the big Dole Whip Floats from Magic Kingdom. This is more a Captain Cook’s sized Dole Whip with a small amount of spiced rum on top. See our Spiced Rum Dole Whip review here!

The Pineapple Upside Down Cake was very good — tender and moist with flavors of pineapple and coconut. There’s a slight crunch on the outside from the syrup.

Pineapple Upside Down Cake

The Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade was not only beautiful, but also delicious. It was sweeter than you’d expect, and there wasn’t much hint of a “floral” flavor — so no worries on that one! These have been coming off and on with an edible flower on top!

The Taco here has a nice, sweet/smokey flavor and there’s a great crunch from the garnish.

A rich, creamy, spicy crab tostada is also on the menu. The topping here is cold and offers a nice contrast with the shell.

The Guava Custard (flan) is eggy and has a very strong guava flavor! If you’re a guava fan, you’ll love this one!

This gorgeous Spring Pancake was the best thing on the menu here at China!! The flavors and textures were unexpected and worked very well together. We liked the addition of a spicy sauce!

Spring Pancake with Grilled Chicken and Green Apple

These candied strawberries were encased in a break-your-teeth sugar coating!! Once you get through and into the fruit they’re delicious!

Beijing-Style Candied Strawberries

The pan-fried vegetable bun hides a vermicelli and vegetable center. It’s nothing special, so I’d choose the pancake first if you’re only getting one item from this booth.

Pan-Fried Vegetable Bun

The bubble tea is a fun addition to the booth! It’s sweet, thick, and shareable!

Peach- Oolong Bubble Tea -- comes much fuller than this, just drank a bit ;-)

PRIMAVERA KITCHEN

– Italy

  • Asparagi con Aragosta all’Ortolana (Green asparagus, lobster, garden cocktail sauce)
  • Lasagna Primavera (Spinach Lasagna, green peas, zucchini, mushrooms, broccolini, béchamel and fresh tomatoes, with garlic and basil leaves) **

  • Birra Del Borgo – Rubus Lamponi (Specialty Wild Fruit Ale)
  • Beer Flight

Italian Primavera Booth

Primavera Kitchen menu

The lasagna is beatiful, but a bit bland. The spinach pasta looks homemade, and there are plenty of chunky veggies! Just needs a little salt…

Lasagna Primavera (Spinach Lasagna, green peas, zucchini, mushrooms, broccolini, béchamel and fresh tomatoes, with garlic and basil leaves)

This Asparagus is a winner! Big chunks of lobster and a creamy mayo sauce with onions and shallots — possibly horseradish. It’s a cold dish, so be prepared for that.

Asparagi con Aragosta all’Ortolana (Green asparagus, lobster, garden cocktail sauce)

The limoncello panna cotta is fantastic. It’s not jello-like or rubbery; just creamy.

Panna Cotta al Limoncello (Limoncello flavored Panna Cotta, wild berries)

Italy has been introducing more beers to the pavilion, and this beer flight is a good opportunity to try some. The lightest tastes like a medium bodied beer; the second has notes of honey; and the third has a bit of floral and fruit in it — full bodied, but not sweet.

  • Beer Flight

Big ol' smoker!

Smokehouse Menu

The Smokehouse Slider is huge — definitely not a small portion, and I’d put it between a regular slider and a large sandwich in size.

It’s delicious, with a nice, vinegary slaw.

Pulled Pig Slider with Cole Slaw

We loved this brisket, which had a good fat-to-meat ratio. The cornbread was hot and sweet with that little kick of spice from the jalepeno. A good choice!

Smoked Beef Brisket with Collard Greens and Jalapeño Corn Bread

The Rocky Road Brownie Mousse was more brownie than mousse, and it tasted great. Very rich and the perfect ending to the smokehouse meal!

HANAMI

  • Hana Awaka
  • Frozen Kirin Ichiban

Hanami Japan Booth

The Frushi was highly anticipated and is lots of fun — especially for kids. Note the types of fruits to be sure you’ll enjoy. This is a sweet, dessert sushi, basically.

Frushi (Fresh strawberries, pineapple and cantaloupe rolled with coconut rice, atop a raspberry sauce sprinkled with toasted coconut and whipped cream)

The YakiSoba Pan is basically noodles on bread with veggies and sauce — an interesting dish, but not something many of us will be used to.

YakiSoba Pan (Fresh grilled carrots, onions and cabbage with Japanese noodles and teriyaki sauce served on a bun with mayonnaise and Beni Shoga)

The Chirashi Hanazushi is ideal for folks who like cold seafood dishes. The sauce is the winner here for us.

Chirashi Hanazushi (Grilled Salmon, cooked shrimp and crab stick served over a bed of fragrant ginger rice with Volcano and Dynamite sauce)

The Green Tea Flan’s best attribute is the caramel at the bottom. The tea isn’t a very strong flavor here.

TASTE OF MARRAKESH

– Morocco

  • Spiced Lamb Kebab with Vegetable Couscous Salad
  • Harissa and Lemon Confit Chicken Drumettes with Chermoula and Cucumber Salad

  • Desert Rose
  • White Sangria
  • Guerrouane Red
  • Casa Beer
  • Mint Iced Tea

Taste of Marrakesh -- Morocco Booth

Marrkesh Booth Menu

The Chicken Drummettes here are spicy — almost like curry! The salad alongside is a bit boring — just cucumbers and cabbage mostly, with a crunchy texture.

Harissa and Lemon Confit Chicken Drumettes with Chermoula and Cucumber Salad

The lamb dish is an interesting combo of warm meat and cold couscous! The couscous had a sweet spice taste. Very good!

Spiced Lamb Kebab with Vegetable Couscous Salad

This dessert pancake could be great for picky eaters. It has a floral, honey, and orange taste.

  • Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux Beau-Rivage
  • Kronenbourg Blanc 1664, (Fruity White Beer with Citrus Notes)

France L'Orangerie Booth

L'Orangerie Menu

France introduces yet another slush!! This La Vie en Rose is great, and tastes a bit like grapefruit!

La Vie en Rose Frozen Slush (Grey Goose Vodka Orange, St. Germain liquor with White and Red Cranberry Juice)

In the sweet verrine, the cream and caramel are the stars (the caramel is made from scratch!). The peaches are just so-so.

Verrine charlotte au pèches (Caramelized peaches and rosemary and light vanilla cream)

This tarte has a light, flaky texture and a yummy fresh flavor.

Tarte a la ratatouille et fromage de chevre -- zucchini, eggplant, bell pepper, onion, and tomato tart with goat cheese

The Pate is very good, but standard. The winner here is the sour cherry compote — yum!

This New Planet™ 3R Raspberry Ale is a new addition for a Disney World festival, and it’s gluten free!! It’s not super sweet as you might expect; instead, it tastes like a slightly fruity beer/ale. No strong raspberry taste.

Frushie’s and smoothies and sliders oh my!
It must have been tough going through this grueling review! LOL!
Though I am a tiny bit disappointed in the Dole Whip/rum review, that will not stop me from trying it!! It has been a cold winter in Northern Vermont so I cannot wait to come down in April for some sun, music, food and flowers. I have been coming to the F&G for several years now and only have been to one F&W so I am really excited for this new development…the best of both worlds..how great is Disney!

  2. Brandy says:

Thank you so much for all the info and pictures !! I so love the Festivals in EPCOT !! This is just another amazing Disney touch !! Thank you again :) I have shared several of your photos and blog posts on my site!! <3

  3. Josephine says:

So sorry I won’t be at F&G this year to experience this. Will be there next year so I hope it continues!!

  4. Norma says:

We just got home from our day at Epcot. We really enjoyed the food booths. The group consensus was that the smokehouse won for best eats. My favorite single item was the spring pancake from Lotus House.

  5. erin says:

I had the slider w/out the bun tonight and my husband had the brisket, both were outstanding and how awesome that it counted as a snack! Good portion sizes, great value!

  6. Mike says:

Does anyone know if the Primavera at the Italian booth contain alcohol? I’m a fan of the Primavera that is always at the Italy food stand next to the gelato cart.

  7. Laurie says:

Someone can check for you, normally the only alcohol used in pasta is wine and I do not see anything that indicates alcohol used in the lasagna primavera. They use a bechamel sauce which you can look online for ingredients. Will try to check today, was hoping to go to MK but will pop in Epcot just for you.

  8. Brian says:

What is inside the beet lollipop (besides beets :)?

  9. Stefanie says:

I was there this past week & had a Great time! I loved the tomato salad at the Cottage booth & the Hefeweisen at the German booth was Awesome! I did not care for the raspberry ale from Fruits By the Glass, it was too light for me, almost like drinking flavored seltzer water.

  10. Robert says:

I loved the pork tacos, I could have eaten 10 lol. The guava flan was delicious as well. I also tried the lamb and the chicken drummette from Morocco, which I thought the chicken had wonderful flavors, but the cucumber salad was indeed boring.

I also ended up with a watermelon passion fruit cocktail which was amazing and now that I’m back in Georgia I want to try to recreate it. I didn’t love the dole whip with rum though, I am generally a big fan of both, but the rum they used tasted really bitter to me. Overall it was a fantastic time with awesome food.

  11. andrew says:

How much alcohol does the La Vie en Rose have?

  12. SusyB says:

My husband and I attended the F&G Festival today and visited 7 different kiosks. The watermelon salad and the shrimp and grits were voted our favorites. The YakiSoba Pan was the most unusual in our opinion and we liked it. Our least favorite was the baked goat’s brie with kumquat chutney. The brie had no taste and the cheese was lost in the pastry, but the chutney had the perfect sweet and tart flavors. We’re going back for more samplings soon and hitting up the food booths we missed. We love the diverse offerings.

  13. christopher says:

Visited yesterday – Spring Pancake at Lotus was the best!

  14. colette says:

I got back last week. I ate in the majority of the food booths (I even got my passport stamped ;p) I really like the spring pancake from china and the frushi from japan. The worst thing I ate my entire trip apart from at Tonys in MK was the potato pancake at the germany booth that was disgusting!

  15. AJ says:

Christopher and Colette — Thanks for sharing your reviews!!! :-)

  16. Sheri says:

I haven’t read through all of the comments, so this may have already been asked and answered. Could someone please tell me what the symbols mean in front of several of the items on each menu? Thanks! We leave in 36 days :)

  17. AJ says:

Sheri — Sure! The “v” means vegetarian, the “try it” means Disney thinks this would be a good item for kids to try, the little purple square means you can purchase the item for a Disney Dining Plan snack credit if you’ve purchased the dining plan before leaving for your trip! Have fun!!

  18. Joanna says:

This is great! I know just where to go now on our trip! Thanks so much!

  19. Karen says:

Thank you for the details. Going down next week and can’t wait to try all the goodies!

  20. Amy says:

Thanks for including the menu pics so we could see what snack credits can be used for! Was not expecting it to be so much actually- looks like almost every food item. Cant wait to try it next week!
