Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort is here! You know what that means???? It’s time to taste all of the things!
When this year’s list of specialty items came out, I was definitely most excited for the Holiday Funnel Cake from the Stage Door Cafe at Disneyland. Located in Frontierland, the Stage Door Cafe is just around the corner from the Golden Horseshoe. This counter service gem serves up some of Disneyland’s classic favorites.

The Stage Door Cafe is known for its small, but perfect menu! In addition to their famous Hand Dipped Corn Dogs (yes, the same ones served at the Little Red Wagon on Main Street!), they also offer Chicken Breast Nuggets, Fish & Chips, and House Made Funnel Cakes.
You may have passed by boxes upon boxes of Minnie’s Bake Shop Chocolate Chunk Cookies in several merchandise spots around Disney World and Disneyland without even noticing.

Found throughout popular merchandise and snack combo stops such as Magic Kingdom’s Big Top Souvenirs (home to Big Top Treats) and Epcot’s Mouse Gears in Disney World, to the Fantasia Shop in the Disneyland Hotel (where I purchased mine), these grab and go snacks aren’t exactly what you would call high profile on the Disney snacking scene. Late last year, information began to surface regarding 21 Royal Street, a private dining venue available to members of the exclusive Club 33 at Disneyland. There was some chatter, however, that 21 Royal Street might be available to the public, and not just Club members.

February of 2016 will bring BIG changes to two beloved Disneyland dining locations.
First, Frontierland’s River Belle Terrace will change from its current status as a Counter Service location to a Table Service option serving lunch and dinner only as of February 10, 2016.

The menu will focus on “Southern barbecue staples” such as ribs and chicken as well as sustainable seafood offerings. Of course, this change means that River Belle Terrace will soon be accepting reservations (the date guests will be able to start booking has yet to be announced). [Read more…]
