We have more exciting news for you today about upcoming Fall events in Walt Disney World!
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has announced the dates, menus, and seminars for their 7th Annual Food and Wine Classic. Circle Friday, October 28, and Saturday, October 29, 2016, on your calendars!
The Food and Wine Classic also coincides with the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. And once again, the Food and Wine Classic will include both Seminars and The Causeway.
The Beer Garden, which was first introduced in 2014, is also returning, and will offer a wide range of beers from all over the world as well as local brews!
Guests can also enjoy more than 40 tasting stations featuring dishes from the resort’s 17 restaurants and lounges as well as more than 30 wineries on the Causeway. Seminars offer an immersive educational opportunity, as participants delve deeper into the crafting of beverages, food and beverage pairing, and cooking demos. Let’s take a closer look at both!

I really hope they have that little carnival like area like 2015 with the mac n cheese and popcorn etc near the shulas booth. Also glad they didnt raise the price again. Cant wait.
Brooke says
Scott — It was pretty cool! We’ll let you know as soon as we hear if Carnival Corner will return in 2016. 🙂
Frank says
We’re booked!!! Can’t wait. THE Event of the year. Been to all before.
Only suggestion is to bring back the Jersey Boys…. Missed them in ’15.
Not the same w/o them.

For people who have done this before, I have some questions.
Our 16 year old daughter loves Food and Wine Fest at EPCOT, can she attend the evening with us to try the foods?
My husband is the only beer drinker. May I enter the Beer Garden with him to keep him company but not drink, or is it only allowed for the people who have purchased the tickets in order to try the beers?
Thanks in advance!
Jenn
Brooke says
Jenn — Your daughter can absolutely attend. You may want to consider purchasing a book of a la carte tickets for her though if you don’t think she’ll enjoy enough to justify the ticket price. Also, I believe that you’ll be able to enter the Beer Garden. At last year’s event, they had special wristbands for guests who paid for the Beer Garden add on, so I imagine they would just be monitoring for those if they use the same method in 2016.
Tarantula says
OK, so let me get this straight… (we have never done this event before, so thank you for the very informative article which I immediately pinned for future reference)
So we can go to this event for “free” (no charge to get in) and just purchase a booklet of tickets for $50 and then once we have used that we can buy more tickets if we want to? Or if we have had enough we can just hop on over back to Epcot to continue our adventures as normal at the regular F&W festival? Sounds too good to be true!
On a related note, if it really is as simple and affordable as that, I wish Disney would do something similar for F&W. We generally just get a wristband gift card which I guess is a similar idea. But the all-you-care-to-eat package sounds like an amazing idea to be added to F&W that I’m sure plenty of people would love!!
Rhonda says
We love this 5 yrs straight
Go to a seminar that are 50-70$ depending & worth every penny such a great value compared to the beverage seminars in Epcot
Love that they are in the afternoon then you head to the causeway it’s a must do!!
Brooke says
Tarantula — Yes, that’s basically the gist. You basically have three choices: a wristband for the Causeway, which offers you unlimited tasting and pours from all of the booths; a wristband that includes the Beer Garden add-on, which offers you the booths plus the Beer Garden; or a ticket book with 25 a la carte tickets for $50, which you use at each booth as you see fit (booth items “cost” various numbers of tickets; the range in the past has been 2-6 tickets per item.) I’ve attended the event for the last several years, and I’ve always had a great time. My husband, who doesn’t drink, used the ticket book 2 years ago, and felt like it provided him enough tickets to taste everything he was interested in. Hope this helps!
Tarantula says
Awesome, thank you!
Caroline says
Luckily we have booked one of our upcoming trips during these dates! When should I start thinking about buying tickets? Does this event typically sell out?
Brooke says
Caroline — It hasn’t sold out in the past. In fact, I’ve bought my tickets the night of the event before. You can take care of it ahead of time, though. That will give you one less thing to worry about. 🙂
Melissa says
Really excited to be going! First time for Dolphin and Swan Food and Wine Classic. We told our dogs that we were going and would come back fat. The dogs asked, “What’s fat?” We said it’s when you eat too much and get really big. The dogs said,”OMG,OMG,OMG Lets do THAT! Lets get fat!” So, they are on board with this.
Cindy says
The desserts look fabulous! Can you eat the flowers?
Brooke says
Cindy — Yes! And be sure to see our posts with more in depth details about last year, and what you can expect this year. 😀
