We just learned that Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be opening on June 30 — but in the meantime, we’ve searched out What’s New NOW at Hollywood Studios (and nearby Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts!). Let’s gooooooo!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Menus and Eats
At pop-up bars around the park, guests can order two new seasonal drinks. Baby Blues is comprised of Tito’s Handmade Vodka (SHOUTOUT AUSTIN, TX!), Bacardi Superior Rum, Tanqueray Gin, Blue Curacao, Sweet-and-Sour, and Sprite! And you get a glow cube, of course.
Green Screen is Absolut Pears Vodka, Midori, Pineapple Juice, and Sprite (again with a glow cube!).
(Anyone else as disturbed as I am on the pricing of these?)
Over at Trolley Car Cafe, you can pick up this seasonal Red Velvet Cupcake, which is frosted with chocolate frosting and comes garnished with Mickey and Minnie!
At ABC Commissary, they’re serving up Surf & Turf, which features chicken, fish, and shrimp — plus sides of fries and cole slaw. We love the thick steak fries here.
At Anaheim Produce, grab the new seasonal drink: Mango Colada. Yum! To make room for this tasty-sounding drink, the Frozen Beso Sol Sangria has been removed.
At Backlot Express, Galactic Lemonade is just the renamed Guava Lemonade that was introduced last month. Of course, the Star Wars tie-in is to be expected.
Hollywood Scoops has changed out the root beer used in their floats. Previously, root beer floats were made with Coney Island Hard Root Beer. Now guests receive Not Your Father’s Root Beer.
BaseLine Tap House has a new small plate: a Coffee-Rubbed Rib-Eye Steak Puff with Olive Salad. (Yeah, I don’t really know what a steak puff is, either, but upon a google search it seems to be steak in a puff pastry? Anyone out there have experience?)
Check out our ranking of Hollywood Studios’ restaurants — from worst to first — and a tour of BaseLine Tap House in this video from our YouTube channel!
Merchandise
In the world of Disney Parks merchandise, you can find several items that feature all four Disney World parks! This Cinderella Castle-shaped plate is covered with Parks icons!
Likewise you find iconic logos on this Mickey Mouse Profile Plate.
This set of four shot glasses covers all the Parks bases with Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, Tower of Terror, and the Tree of Life!
The same images are featured on this set of four espresso mugs. We love the shape and size of these.
For Hollywood Studios-specific merchandise, find this plastic cup and straw.
If you’re a Minnie Mouse fan or collector, there’s a limited edition Minnie Mouse figurine available.
She’s adorably stylish! Check out that empowered mouse just doing her thing!
Of course, if you want to accent your own style, you can don this Spaceship Earth-inspired ball cap.
Thank the Phoenicians!
In the vast world of tiny collectibles, guests can purchase these Animators Collection Littles.
These are the characters available in the blind containers.
The containers themselves are really cute!
Construction
Construction continues in earnest all over the Studios, including the restoration of the Muppets Fountain. For a short period this was filled with plants, not water. We’re happy to see her return to watery glory.
The entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is shaping up — with dramatic concept art.
We are loving the detail here and can’t wait to see it in person!
The Hollywood Studios Skyliner station is a work in progress.
And concept art is on display.
This piece gives us a little more perspective on the location of various aspects of the Skyliner in comparison with the current park.
They’ve also displayed the Skyliner map here.
Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts
Over at Art of Animation Resort, the resort’s food court — Landscape of Flavors — has added Chicken Parmesan to the menu. Sadly the Cheesy Pesto Bread we’ve always loved is gone. Womp, womp.
The seasonal drink at Art of Animation’s Drop-Off Pool Bar is Cupid’s Pink Arrow — a concoction of Absolut Vodka, Triple Sec, Raspberry Puree, a fresh strawberry garnish, and a glow cube.
At Everything Pop at Pop Century Resort, guests can now get a Rum Smoothie. Healthy in so many ways. 😉
There’s also a draft beer on tap at Everything Pop: Funky Buddha. This is the first draft beer we’ve seen here — and it’s a good one!
The Candy Hearts Cupcake is a pretty, sugary seasonal option in the dessert case here.
One big change at Everything Pop is Artisanal Pizza now served at the first window, where desserts used to be served.
Flatbreads are no longer on the menu here, so these Artisanal Pizzas are a fun replacement.
And that’s all she wrote, Disney food friends! Stay tuned for all the latest from the World in our next What’s New installment!
What are you most excited to try in the World this year? Tell us in the comments!

Great report! Yes, the drink prices are disturbing and I for one will never pay them. If people do, the prices will keep climbing. I love the Animators Littles! They’re adorable, and I’m very xcited about the sky cars!

Nooooooo! Mourning the loss of the cheesy pesto bread from AOA. It was sooooooo good. 🙁 Oh well guess I’ll have to find another go to snack when we’re at the hotel. It will be missed! I agree those Animator Littles are too cute. I’m sure my daughter will want some when we’re there in August. Those plates are pretty cool also.

On Christmas Eve my husband and I had an awesome little photo shoot in front of that Galaxy’s Edge display with one of the PhotoPass photographers – she was a huge goofball, and a heck of a great photographer as well. She snapped what’s now my favourite photo of us ever. 🙂
Those drinks ARE outrageously priced. How large are they, or how many ounces of alcohol? I’m expecting Barbie swimming pool-sized for those prices.

I will be there in less than two weeks !! Very excited to try our some of the new food items…
