Travelling with a food allergy or sensitivity can be difficult. Disney has worked to reduce the stress by making chefs visits to your table easier as well as incorporating allergy and sensitivity requests in the Advance Dining Reservation system and providing allergen information on menus at many Disney restaurants.
And for a while now, Disney has been moving toward incorporating food allergy and sensitivity orders into the Mobile Order System in the My Disney Experience App.
After you scroll down past the standard menu, the allergy and sensitivity options appear.
Allergies and sensitivities that can be accommodated are: Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, and Soy.
We captured screenshots of the options for Pinocchio Village Haus, and we noticed this option was available for all the restaurants in our app except a few. We found we could access allergy friendly menus in every location listed in the My Disney Experience app at the time we checked except Fairfax Faire, Woody’s Lunch Box, and D-Luxe Burger. Here’s hoping those are being updated right now.
You can still order at the location and speak to a chef if you need clarification, or can not accommodate your allergy through the mobile order system.
There is some small print with this system, so be sure to read that and wait to order in person when you can speak to chef if needed.
We are excited to see this update in the My Disney Experience App. Will this make your travels to Disney easier if you have a food allergy or sensitivity?
