When you’re hungry in the parks, that delay can feel like a major disruption to your day. Luckily, there’s a super-easy trick that can help you work around it and even get your food sooner. Here’s exactly how it works and why you’re going to want to start doing this on your next trip to Walt Disney World.

We visit Disney World every single day — even during the busiest of times. We’ve literally seen it all, and yet, there are still some trends that throw us off or disrupt our day. Such is the case with a problem that is plaguing Disney World hotel restaurants these days.
Let us tell you a little story about something that happens in Disney World from time to time. Think of it like a cautionary tale. Let’s say you’re enjoying a park day at Magic Kingdom. The sun is high in the sky, the wait times are creeping up, and you’re getting hungry. It’s time for a break. But Magic Kingdom’s quick-service options are, well, lame.

We might not always realize it, but food plays a HUGE part in our day — especially in Disney World! Picture this: it’s 3PM, you’re hot, sweaty, and haven’t had any protein all day. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
While the Disney World parks have been reopened for almost a year, some restaurants around the Resort are still temporarily closed. One restaurant that still has yet to reopen is Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
When Walt Disney World began its phased reopening, many of the restaurants opened with Mobile Order.

As more and more restaurants have reopened, Mobile Order has basically become the new norm. So, gone are the days that you could go a day without your cell phone in the parks (did anyone ever do that though?!). Mobile Order lets you read through the menu in the My Disney Experience app, order, pay, and then be greeted with your meal ready to go when you arrive. The system certainly isn’t without flaws, but we’ve adapted to ordering our lunch from our little screens. And, today, we spotted a new feature at one of the restaurants as we were ordering.
