Yesterday we were checking out a couple of new menu additions in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland with the arrival of the Minnie Cookie Dough Sundae at Storybook Treats and the Tangled Éclair at Pinocchio Village Haus.
But while we were checking out the new arrivals, we couldn’t help but notice some removals from a menu in Fantasyland, too… specifically, at The Friar’s Nook.
The Friar is known for changing things up every so often, moving from a variety of Mac and Cheese dishes to Loaded Tots and then, most recently, featuring selections of both on the menu.
But now… well, you’ll notice a lot less on the menu, as the Fiesta Macaroni and Cheese and Loaded Fiesta Tots have been removed, along with the Creamy Bacon Tots.
However, you’ll notice that the Creamy Bacon Macaroni and Cheese Tots are still available, so it’s quite likely you may still be able to order the Creamy Bacon Tots (and likewise, simply the Creamy Bacon Macaroni and Cheese) by request. But that’s not all…
Also gone from the menu? The Fried Twinkie!
Alas!
Still, as we mentioned, things do change with some frequency at Friar’s Nook, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for whatever the Friar starts cooking up next!

Can you please do a review on fried food at Disney. The oil they use and how much of the offerings are fried and why. It seems to me that a lot of their food across many eating places is fried or more fried, Which I can’t eat. Also is this increase due to the cooking oil buses as they have green logo mickey buses that run on cooking oil. if so, I kind of get the increase . thanks
Not happy!
I have to say, ordering the Fried Twinkie was a MUST for our family’s yearly WDW vacations. Not only were they delicious (with their option of three dipping sauces), but not everyone has all the money in the world and were a value at only $4.99 each. Unreal. Guess the good news is…won’t be ordering dessert at MK, which will help the old waistline.
