Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is quickly approaching! EEEK — we’re so ready!
To prepare for this iconic year, Disney is making a few changes throughout the parks to make sure they’re in tip-top shape. Some changes are as big as the new space-themed restaurant or the new TRON attraction. Others are smaller like new chairs and tables at Tomorrowland Terrace in Magic Kingdom.
Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant is a seasonal dining location that serves a variety of American dishes. The location offers a great place to relax and incredible views of Cinderella Castle…in the shade!
This open-air location is also where guests will sit when attending the Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party — which you can read our full review of here!
A few months ago we shared that Tomorrowland Terrace had a new coat of paint. And today we noticed that the location had received a bit of an overhaul as all-new chairs have appeared to match the new paint job. Yup!! They’re also bright orange.
The previous chairs were more round in shape and were silver. And sadly, though these new chairs look good, they don’t look as comfy as they used to. Here’s a photo of the old chairs and tables so you can compare for yourself!
But, the new chairs have made the atmosphere sleeker and brighter! We also believe that the tables have been updated as well. The tables used to be tiny and circular, but now they are square. They should be easier to push together which should ultimately create more room for guests dining or relaxing here.
We wonder what the next updates in Tomorrowland will be! Any ideas?

Very nice and cheerful, which that area definitely needed. Now how about offering some interesting menu items and having it open more often. Last time we ate there, they had some good Asian-style bowls – well before bowls were a thing – as well as chicken nuggets for the kiddies and non-adventurous eaters. It could be a great place for a quick service family style dinner similar to what is offered in AK, or just have a couple of exclusive offerings along with basic burgers. Wouldn’t it be a nice place to have dinner, with a Castle view, on nights when they don’t have parties?
oh I was wondering about the Terrance, going to have to check it out when we come in September.
I hope they’ve also fixed the ceiling. When we were there for a dessert party earlier this month, rain was literally dripping from the ceiling on to our tables and chairs. We’ve moved tables once and still got water on us. There was also a bucket next to our table to catch another drop.
Since they did this I would hope its going to start being open on a more regular schedule, its ridiculous its usually closed. This park has major capacity problems and it should be open all the time with the insane crowds they have and give people options and a little more comfort. They have been too cheap to operate it and want everyone mass herded into one awful spot or two to save costs. It should operate like it was meant to so the crowds can disperse.
