Disney World’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter is home to the Scat Cat’s Club, which we love to frequent for the delicious boozy beignets.
TODAY, we learned that Disney World not only plans to expand Scat Cat’s Club but they also will soon introduce a NEW dining location in the New Orleans-themed resort, called Scat Cat’s Club — Café!
According to Disney, Scat Cat’s Club “will expand to a larger space to serve up signature beverages and flavorful bar options offering a taste of the Big Easy.” Don’t worry, the lounge will still offer live jazz music five nights a week.
Scat Cat’s Club — Café will be a new location in the lobby, and it will offer the popular (and delicious!) beignets throughout the day. As you may know, Port Orleans’ beignets are made in-house every day. We recently grabbed some pumpkin spice beignets for ourselves, and you can read our full review of them here!
Disney hasn’t provided many details or an opening date for the new café yet, but stay tuned to Disney Food Blog as we’ll provide more information as we receive it. We’re more than ready for another place to grab some delicious beignets!

Oh, interesting! We’re going to be at the sister resort in the Spring so I’ll be looking for updates on this. Also, I wasn’t sure if Disney just doesn’t provide timelines for their improvements, but it would be nice to know when we can expect these things to be completed. Or just let us know that you don’t know and not that you just left the information out. But as always, LOVE LOVE LOVE reading your blog and watching your videos. Always getting me more and more excited for our first Disney trip. And to think, less than a year a go, I could not have cared less about Disney. You’ve transformed this girl!
I loved Bonfamiles when it was a restaurant there. I was not a fan of food court. Why couldn’t they have put the new Tianas place there at POFQ where thematically it makes more sense. Who at Disney is making these terrible decisions? ie Beauty and he Beast at the GF??
Abi, Disney doesn’t often give timelines. I worked in reservations for Disney for 2 years and half the time they didn’t even tell us about renovations at the resorts. We didn’t find out until we had an angry guest on the phone. With all the work at Coronado, we were told a timeline that was totally wrong and far less work was being done than we had been told. We only found out when the Manager of the resort finally emailed the DRC Management saying she was dealing with tons of angry guests who had been told wrong information by agents. But the info we gave them, was all we were told.
