Christmas came a little early this year as Disney is giving us an INSIDE LOOK at all of the new holiday decor and offerings coming to Animal Kingdom this holiday season.
We have previously shared that magic will be twinkling from every corner and land at Animal Kingdom as Disney goes all out this year. But, now it’s time to take a closer peek at what we can expect to see in just a few months!
According to Disney, “Guests visiting Discovery Island will find themselves in the midst of a celebration of winter, hand-crafted by the eclectic community of artists who reside here.” The village will be filled with sparkling white holiday decorations, and animal-inspired luminaries will line the rooftops!
During the day, Discovery Island will be filled with artisan-sculpted puppets. These will include winter animals like reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins and more.
Guests will have the opportunity to see how the “residents of Anandapur have decorated the theatre district in celebration of Diwali, the holiday festival of lights in India.” Between Anandapur Theatre and the waterfront stage will be glowing flowers, lanterns, and more.
There will also be NEW holiday decor in Africa and guests will be able to boogie down to the sound of the holidays in DinoLand, U.S.A. Here, guests will also find a few of their fav characters dressed in their holiday best.
Pandora — The World of Avatar
The magic of the holidays will also make its way to Pandora — The World of Avatar. Here guests will find “a display of kitschy holiday décor at Pongu Pongu that combines vintage pieces from Earth with items handcrafted from materials indigenous to Pandora.”
Tree of Life
Every night, the Tree of Life will come to life through a series of “wintery tales, complemented by a holiday-inspired musical score.” The Tree of Life will also “sparkle and shimmer throughout the night, alive with the magic of nature and the spirit of the holidays.”
While Disney has already shared many of these details, we can now learn more than ever thanks to this NEW video!
