The temporary closure of the Disneyland Resort parks — Disneyland and Disney California Adventure — due to concerns over the Coronavirus went effect March 14th, 2020.
Disney has provided the following information to Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders in light of the closure.
An email sent to Disneyland Annual Passholders shares that, as is the case for Annual Passholders in Walt Disney World, Passholders who hold Passports which are valid during the closure period (which, at press time, is scheduled to last through March 31, 2020) “will have their Passport expiration date extended based on pass type and level of access due to the impacts of the closure.” Passholders will see the new extended date on their Passport account before the parks reopen.
Note that Passholders who participate in the Monthly Payment Program will continue to make payments as scheduled. Disney also states that “These Annual Passholders will have their Passport expiration date extended based on pass type and level of access due to the impacts of the closure, and will not be required to make any payments during that extended period.”
Reservations made by Disney Flex Passholders be cancelled during the closure without penalty.
As a reminder, the Hotels of Disneyland will not close until Monday, March 16th, and Downtown Disney is currently scheduled to remain open.
