Disney World’s theme parks will begin their phased reopenings starting with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11th followed by Hollywood Studios and Epcot on July 15th.
And now, Disney has just announced Epcot will be offering a modified version of its Epcot Food and Wine Festival starting on the very first day of its initial grand reopening! July 15th!!
A Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will feature 20 signature global marketplaces spaced throughout the park.
Popular food booths from Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival will be returning including Hawaii, Hops & Barley, and Islands of the Caribbean!
We’re also told elements of Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival (which was cut short this year due to the temporary closures) will be “sprinkled in” with the global goodies of Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival. The new Remy topiary will be out in the France pavilion and Flower & Garden merchandise will also be for sale. So…this will basically be a hybrid Food and Wine and Flower and Garden Festival…which is kind of awesome!
The festival is scheduled to be EPCOT’s LONGEST EVER, continuing through the fall!
Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt returns and Food & Wine merchandise will join the party later this year! But sadly, the Eat to the Beat concerts have been canceled for 2020.
We’ll share more details with you about this new hybrid festival as they’re released!

What do you think of Disney offering this festival to guests? Let us know if you’d be interested it in attending in the comments below!
Bill says
20 kiosks seems more like an extension of F&G than a scaled down F&W but it’s a start…we’ll take it! The next questIon will be if there will be tasting seminars, luncheons or Party for the senses. Those are all doable even if the attendance is limited to accommodate social distancing. I hope they have them, even at reduced attendance, and then can add seats if restrictions are lifted. 🤞
DFB Sarah says
Bill, we are watching for this information and will update ASAP when it’s released!
Roy Kownacki says
I didn’t see how long it goes through I booked for September just for that festival. Do you have an end date?
Diane says
Been wondering who will be manning the Pavilions with the cultural representatives gone? Thanks for all you do.
Thomas Wachtel says
Two seniors in Illinois are training hard for the F&W half marathon….I hope the Imagineers can imagine a way for this event to be a GO-DISNEY!
Denise says
There’s no way in hell you’ll see me at Disney as long as they are forcing everyone to wear a face mask. This should be optional and for each person to decide for themselves. Its disgusting to me on SO many levels!!!
Ingrid says
What will happen with the magnets for passholders?
DFB Sarah says
Diane, Disney has said local cast members, but we will update this if/when new info arises.
DFB Sarah says
Roy, Disney only said “fall.” We will update when Disney releases info.
Dawn Feagan says
Here’s what I see. Disney has given us the opportunity for us to return to the parks. It is OUR choice to go. WE also have the choice to reschedule and wait to see.
I MADE the choice to reschedule. Then when WE do go in September I am going to enjoy what Disney is ABLE to offer. I WILL not have expectations because I MADE the CHOICE to go.
We will enjoy what they have available. We will enjoy the CAST MEMBERS willing to be there to meet whatever needs we have and I will say Thank You for being here.
So please do not go expecting, go enjoy Disney knowing the parameters that have been set forth before you go.
WE MADE the choice to go.

Really hoping the menus for the booths they will have available this year will be coming out soon. We love to preview the menus before we go and pick our must tries early! It would be torture to have to wait until the Epcot opens on the 15th to see what the offerings are. Relying on you all for good pictures and descriptions of the food and beverages!!!
DFB Sarah says
Thanks, Stephanie! We are anxiously awaiting this info, too, as you can imagine!
Janice says
Wearing a mask is to PROTECT others. It’s called human compassion! It’s too bad people don’t get it … it helps PREVENT the SORRAD of the virus! If you don’t want to wear a mask, please DON’T go (Disney don’t let you in anyway) and open a space for us who want to go and are more than willing to ABIDE BY THE RULES … show some compassion for others.
