You probably remember your VERY first Dole Whip — one of Disney World’s MOST iconic snacks!
And while we’ve already gotten to enjoy a Dole Whip at the newly reopened Disney Springs’ Marketplace Snacks, there’s just something EXTRA special about getting one so close to Magic Kingdom!
Although we’ll have to wait until July 11th to visit Aloha Isle, Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is also a HOT spot to find this quintessential COOL treat!
And now that Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has reopened, we stopped by Pineapple Lanai for a little taste of their famous tropical delight! We noticed tables and chairs have been spaced farther apart in their patio seating area.
And some tables have been moved over to the side for additional outdoor seating! Without any shade, you’ll have to wolf down your Dole Whips if you choose to sit down at any of these sunny seats!
Before ponying up to the counter, you’ll notice social distancing markers have been placed on the ground. Do you remember a time when these things DIDN’T exist? Neither can we!
Pineapple Lanai isn’t available on Mobile Order yet and we don’t know if Disney has plans of adding it or not.
The menu was showing all of the usual Pineapple Lanai offerings but right now they only have pineapple and vanilla flavor which you can get served in a cup or as a float! You can also get it spiked with a side of rum or $12!
Pineapple Lanai has changed its utensil dispensers as we’ve previously seen other Disney World restaurants doing like The Daily Poutine in Disney Springs!
And now that we’ve got our spoon, we’ve got some serious digging in to do! Please excuse us while we get down to BUSINESS!
If Pineapple Dole Whip is one of your favorite snacks at Disney World, we hope you’ll be reunited with it soon. Until then, check out our first meal back at a newly reopened Beaches & Cream (one of our Disney World must-dos) here!

Did you have to have a table service reservation at another spot at the Poly to use this quick service window? I am wondering if people who would like to eat quick service at a resort other than the one they are staying at are able to do so….IF they are able to do so.
Cayla, our team member had an Advance Dining Reservation at the Resort, so she was there for that and checked on Pineapple Lanai. Right now, Disney says in order to go to a Resort, you need to have an ADR or a Resort reservation.
We typically stay at the Grand Floridian and walk over to the Polynesian for a Dole Whip…is that no longer possible since resort or dining reservations are required to visit a resort?
Gitta, we have not seen measures in place to prevent folks from going between Resorts on walkways (or on Disney transportation). That doesn’t mean Disney won’t do something to curb it, but we haven’t seen it yet.
