Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom officially reopened on July 11th, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios along EPCOT welcomed back guests on July 15th.
Over the weekend, Disney World announced all four theme parks would be undergoing a change to their park hours. Beginning September 8th, the parks will be closing earlier than when they first reopened.
The new park hours for EPCOT will be 11AM-7PM, reduced from the previous hours of 11AM-9PM. For most guests, there should still be enough time to ride EPCOT’s attractions and enjoy several menu items from the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. For EPCOT After 4 Annual Passholders, however, Disney World shutting down earlier will take a big chunk of their time away.
Therefore, Disney World has come up with a solution for EPCOT evening APs. Starting September 8th, EPCOT After 4 Passholders will be able to use their passes starting at 2PM instead of 4PM— that’s two extra hours of FUN!
So technically this means EPCOT After 4 passes are now actually EPCOT After 2 passes, but Disney is still calling them EPCOT After 4 passes, for now, FYI! After chatting with a Cast Member, we were also able to confirm that this change won’t be a permanent one. We will let you know when the pass reverts back, so stay tuned. And in the meantime, enjoy EPCOT!

Disappointing at best. Epcot was a great place to go for the evening. I enjoyed the lighting, music and casual atmosphere for dinner or a snack and a walk.
I am a bit disappointed that I am hearing that all AP’s are now the same.
The silver/gold pass which normally has summer block out no longer does.
I got a platinum pass with no block outs and paid much more for the pass.
On top of that I have lockouts now due to reservation restrictions.
In my opinion Top tier passes got the short end of the stick.
