The Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival is in full swing!
Yes, this festival, which is a hybrid between Flower and Garden and Food and Wine has been happening ever since EPCOT reopened last month, but there’s ONE booth that has had an unpredictable schedule…
In the last few days, we noticed the Islands of the Caribbean booth has been closed and removed from Walt Disney World’s website.
But then, SUDDENLY, Islands of the Caribbean was REOPENED on Saturday, August 15th, serving up Ropa Vieja Empanadas, Jerk-spiced chicken, Flancocho, and drinks, like nothing had ever happened!
Well, today, readers informed us that Islands of the Caribbean was again CLOSED today. And after talking with Cast Members and based on reader reports, it seems as though this booth will be open infrequently, likely only on Saturdays.
Of course, this booth’s operating days and hours could change at ANY time, and as we continue to visit EPCOT and hear from you, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on these changes and anything else that happens at A Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival!

Open, closed, what is it. Who operates these islands of food, Disney or outside vendors. Could I buy I. And operate one or is it all smoke and mirrors with Disney behind the curtain…? So many of the restaurants seem to be operated by outside sources and not Disney. Is it that way at the EPCOT festivals too…?
DFB Sarah says
Ken, as far as I know, the festival booths are Disney entities, though some are sponsored by certain third party vendors.
