It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Magic Kingdom!
Even though Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has been canceled this year, there’s plenty of seasonal fun coming to Disney World. We’ve already seen holiday decor, merchandise, and entertainment begin to make its way into the parks. And today marks the OFFICIAL start of the Christmas season in Disney World, so we’re coming to you LIVE from Magic Kingdom to celebrate!
Follow along all day as we update this post!
Holiday Decorations
As we spotted yesterday, there are Toy Soldiers stationed around to make sure we’re all having a jolly time.
Holiday Entertainment
Dapper Dans
First thing when we got onto Main Street, U.S.A. we were able to spot some holiday entertainment!
The Dapper Dans are suited up in their best candy cane stripes for a ride along on the Holiday Trolley, caroling some Christmas tunes as they go!
The Muppets!
We were SHOCKED to see the return of the Muppets in Magic Kingdom today!
We saw Gonzo and the chickens when we stopped by, spouting jokes at the crowds! But you might see different Muppets depending on when you walk by! We’ll add pictures if we spot any others!
Christmas Character Cavalcades
There are lots and we mean LOTS of Disney and Christmas characters strolling through Magic Kingdom as part of the Holiday Character Cavalcades. We spotted Santa perched high in his sleigh…
…of course, accompanied by reindeer.
The Main Street Philharmonic was marching along with one of the cavalcades!
And Toy Soldiers joined them!
Goofy’s Cavalcade had Clarabelle Cow making cookies on her very own float!
And there are some LIFESIZE Gingerbread Men dancing along.
But we’re not done yet! We spotted Alice, Tigger, Mad Hatter, Pooh, Pinocchio, Geppeto, and more!
Mickey and Minnie look SO cute in their Christmas wear.
And they’re joined by Pluto, Donald, Daisy, Wendy, and Peter Pan.
The Holiday Trolley features Hundred Acre Wood pals with Christmas accessories.
Whew! It’s like a character-palooza!

Keep in mind that these Cavalcades had the tendency to cause some serious crowding.
This can make social distancing difficult!

Holiday Eats and Treats
Main Street Bakery
Starbucks has launched their holiday drinks again and you can find them at locations like Main Street Bakery.
Flavors like Chestnut Praline, Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Brulee, and Eggnog have all returned.
Main Street Bakery is also offering the Twice Upon a Cupcake.
We definitely gave it a try!
Talk about a great Hidden Mickey!
Isn’t that cool?!
You can read our review of the Twice Upon a Cupcake here!
Refreshment Carts
At the Refreshment Cart right in front of Cinderella Castle, we tried these Sugar & Spice Churros with Eggnog!
Spoiler alert: They were pretty darn tasty.

Storybook Treats
At Storybook Treats, the Ursula-inspired Poor Unfortunate Souls float was gone and the Minnie’s Merry Cherry Sundae has taken its place!
This is definitely a treat for all the cherry-lovers out there!

Westward Ho
Today was pretty much a churro-palooza! One type of churros we got was the Chip ‘n’ Dale Christmas Churros at Westward Ho.
A gingerbread churro topped with apple pie filling, marshmallow icing, and chocolate chips? Yum!

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
The Let It Snow Taco is one of the cutest treats we spotted today.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the tastiest.

“An Orange Bird Christmas” just might be the most citrusy treat you’ll try this year.

Aloha Isle
We’ve got a WEIRD flavor combination coming at us from Aloha Isle! It’s the Pistachio Chai Tea Float!
TBH, this one left us a little confused. You’ll have to try it and see if you can explain it to us!

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
If you’re looking to shake things up after all those sweet treats, head over to Cosmic Ray’s for the Spice Up Your Holiday sandwich!
Fair warning, this spicy chicken sandwich actually DOES pack a bit of a punch!
