Holiday cheer is in the air at Walt Disney World!
EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays has officially begun, and we can’t wait to see everything the festival has in store! Although the big gingerbread displays at the resorts have been canceled this year, one annual gingerbread display is BACK but in a new location.
This year, you can find EPCOT’s gingerbread house over at the World Showplace in-between the Canada pavilion and the UK pavilion!
This year’s display is a model of some of our nation’s landmarks, similar to the displays that are usually in the American Adventure pavilion. There’s a gingerbread model of the Capitol Building, complete with decorated Christmas trees on the front lawn and a Mickey Mouse figurine on top!
There’s also a model of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, which is SERIOUSLY detailed and impressive! The baker/artist who created this masterpiece has some incredible skill.
In front of the gingerbread model of the Washington Monument, we spotted this nod to Disney in the landscaping — “Where Dreams Come True” written in the rocks!
You can also admire the edible version of the Lincoln Memorial, decorated in red and green icing touches for Christmas. It’s practically flawless!
If you’re a fan of American history, Disney, and holiday treats, then you’ll definitely want to check this out at the World Showplace! It will be on display throughout EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays, which runs until December 30th, 2020.
Check out our video of the stunning display below! There are 13 hidden…or not so hidden Mickeys! Can you spot any of them?
