Like all of Disney’s parks, Tokyo Disney Resort shut down earlier last year in response to the global pandemic.
Tokyo Disney Resort reopened in the summer. In the fall, the resort resumed nighttime fireworks and parades, as well as character meet and greets.
However, after a surge in COVID-19 cases in Japan, Tokyo Disney recently reduced its hours, as well as suspended its nightly fireworks shows. There is also a travel ban in Japan preventing any non-resident foreign travelers from entering the country.
Now, Tokyo Disney has suspended the sales of tickets to its two parks. The official Tokyo Disney Resort website states that tickets for parks admission on or after January 9th is temporarily suspended until the resort sets up its ticket sales system.
Guests who have already purchased tickets, made reservations, or have had success with the admission lottery will still be able to enter Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. Tokyo Disney will make an announcement once tickets are available for purchase again. And we’ll let you know when that happens.
