Love gelato? Well, soon there will be a brand new spot for you to sample all kinds of gelato flavors in EPCOT.

Italy Pavilion
Back in 2019, a NEW gelato cart was announced for EPCOT’s Italy pavilion. In 2020, we saw a building permit that might point to the cart’s construction and a possible name and we got a peek from the sky at its construction. But recently we got a look at the new gelato kiosk in person!
Italy’s new gelato cart will replace the existing kiosk, and it will be run by the Patina Group. The Patina Group runs several restaurants in Disney World, including Tutto Italia and Via Napoli. Here’s a peek at what the new kiosk looked like today!

New Gelato Kiosk
There are still some construction walls in front of it, but you can see a bit of the top of the new kiosk. The front building is sort of a brown/orange color. The back area looks like it’s got more of a stone look. Both appear to have some terracotta roof tiles on top.

New Gelato Kiosk
Back in 2019, Disney announced that the kiosk would have 12 different varieties of gelato and sorbet, including gluten-friendly and plant-based flavors. The kiosk is also set to offer a seasonally-inspired menu and will incorporate local fruits into its recipes.

We don’t have an opening date or too many other details on this gelato kiosk just yet, but we’re on the lookout for more info. Check back with us here at DFB for all the latest updates!
