Disneyland has been closed for almost a full year now.
Disneyland is closed
While local officials have voted in favor to speed the reopening of large California theme parks, Disney has announced some changes that will affect many of Disneyland’s guests. One of those changes was the cancellation of the Disneyland Annual Passholder program.
While Disneyland mulls over a new membership program, the company is now referring to passholders as “Legacy Passholders.” Those passholders are still eligible for certain perks, including discounts on merchandise. However, another new perk may be on the way for those who become members of the new program in the works.

Disneyland is considering adding a special entrance to its parks for passholders. According to the Orange County Register, Disneyland recently sent out a survey asking passholders about a dedicated entrance for them.
Parts of California Adventure are currently open
With analysts concluding that almost 50% of Disneyland guests were passholders, it seems that Disney is trying to get feedback on what kind of perks a new membership program should have. Disneyland caters more to locals than Disney World, and its membership program will have to consider that moving forward.
Downtown Disney is currently open
Disneyland has also surveyed guests about monthly payments on annual passes, as well as about prices, preferred times to visit, and visitation frequency. As soon as Disneyland announces more details about the new membership program, we’ll let you know.

First, as a 71 year old Disney fan, many year Disneyland Annual Passholder, & charter D23 member, I wonder who all received those surveys & why didn’t I get one to answer. I do think a dedicated Passholder gate would be a great idea. Being that I’ll be getting my second Covid-19 vaccine shot next week, I’ll be ready to head down south to Disneyland. It’s been almost a year since I’ve had a dose Disney magic medicine.
