The Pineapple Coconut Dole Whip Swirl Has Some New Competition in EPCOT

Wow… it’s been a minute since we have seen much of a change in the offerings at EPCOT’s Refreshment Outpost.

Oh, sure, the spot serves up fun seasonal selections to go along with the current EPCOT Festival. But the regular eats here? We’re usually talking hot dogs, frozen slushies, and vanilla and chocolate soft-serve. You know, the basics. But today we spied a NEW option on the soft-serve menu that we had to check out!

We noticed the menu has been updated so you can now get the Soft-serve Waffle Cone in Strawberry, Banana, or a SWIRL of both flavors!

The Banana, of course, hit the scene for the just-ended-yesterday Festival of the Arts, as it was the tremendous topper for the Warm Brown Sugar-stuffed Pretzel.

But the Strawberry and the option to swirl with the Banana are new.

And together, these flavors are a perfectly refreshing swirl for spring, if there ever was one!

Could this be a sign of something coming to the Outpost for the upcoming Flower & Garden Festival, or is it just some flavorful fun? Either way, we’re happy about it!

A loooooong time ago they served Pineapple and Coconut Frozen Yogurt at the Outpost. (We’re talking waaaaaaay back when it was called the Refreshment Cool Post!). We thought it might usher in a whole bunch of different flavored soft-serve treats here. As it turned out, though… not so much. While Magic Kingdom is constantly serving up new Dole Whip flavors and floats, things have stayed pretty quiet when it comes to soft-serve at EPCOT.

But, hey… we can now enjoy a little pineapple-and-coconut Dole Whip swirl over at Magic Kingdom’s Aloha Isle, and NOW at long last we’ve got ourselves a new Strawberry and Banana Swirl to enjoy, so we’re pretty well set with the best of both worlds! You can grab a Swirl of Banana and Strawberry (or either individual flavor) at the Outpost between EPCOT’s China and Germany pavilions served up with a Waffle Cone for $5.25.

There is a LOT changing quickly over at EPCOT at the moment. Construction walls have come down in front of Spaceship Earth, and things are blooming all over in preparation for the 2021 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival which kicks off on March 3rd!
