Planning to visit Disney World this summer AND you want to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Slinky Dog Dash, and more??
Well, then you better start booking those Park Pass reservations ASAP and here’s why!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen Park Pass reservations filling up for spring break dates, and we’ve started to see them filling up for some of the summer months too. In just the past few days, we’ve seen more and more days in the summer where Park Passes have started to fill up. Park Passes have especially been filling up for Disney’s Hollywood Studios on MANY days in the summer (although other parks are sometimes affected to).
We know that summer might not technically start until June, but here’s a peek at what’s going on in May and other months this summer (it’s basically summer all the time in Florida, right?).
May
Planning to visit Disney World in May? Well, right now Park Passes for Disney’s Hollywood Studios have filled up for several days in May for those with Theme Park Tickets. On some days, Park Passes for both Disney’s Hollywood Studios AND Magic Kingdom have been filling up too. Some days still have full availability though — you can see them marked in green on the calendar.
The situation looks pretty similar for those staying at Select Resort Hotels. Hollywood Studios is already booked up for several days, and on some days other parks are also starting to fill up. But, some days still do have full availability.
Annual Passholders, on the other hand, are looking a bit better in May…for now. Right now, only Magic Kingdom Park Passes have filled up for May 1st and the rest of the month is still green (meaning there is full availability at all of the parks).
But, of course, all of this could change very soon!
June
In June, things look pretty similar to May for those with Theme Park Tickets. Park Passes for Hollywood Studios have already filled up on a lot of days, and on some days Park Passes for other parks are starting to fill up too. There are still a few days with full availability though.
The situation is similar for Select Resort Hotel guests.
Annual Passholders are still looking good for June with full availability.
Again, that’s all subject to change.
July
Park Passes for July appear to still be available at all of the parks for guests with Theme Park Tickets, Select Resort Hotel Guests, and Annual Passholders.
But, if this month turns out to be anything like May and June, we expect that Park Passes for Hollywood Studios (and potentially other parks) could start to fill up in the next few weeks. So, if you’re looking to visit Hollywood Studios (or really any of the parks) in July, NOW is probably the best time to book your passes while many are still available.
August
The situation looks similar in August. Right now, we’re seeing full Park Pass availability for all 3 groups.
But, that could change.
Again, if July or August turn out to be similar to May or June, we could see Park Passes for the Studios or other parks filling up quickly. So, if you’re planning to visit Disney World and want to make sure you can get into Disney’s Hollywood Studios, be sure to check the Park Pass availability for the dates of your trip and book your Park Pass reservations ASAP.
It’s best to have those reservations made well in advance in case more things start to fill up later. And, if you change your mind about what parks you want to go to, you could try to cancel them later and make new Park Passes (depending on availability).
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more details and updates on Park Passes and other things that could affect your Disney trip. Be sure to stay tuned for more Disney news!
