Disney Reveals Lightsaber Training Experience Age Requirement for the Star Wars Hotel

We just got a TON of new information about the upcoming immersive hotel experience — including the pricing. Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is sure to be a one-of-a-kind experience when it opens in Spring 2022 but some guests will not get to try the much-anticipated lightsaber training experience!

One of the earlier details announced for Galactic Starcruiser was that the hotel will feature an immersive and interactive lightsaber training experience. The concept art for this looks AMAZING and we’ve even dug into how the experience will work.

Guests of all ages are welcome aboard, but Disney just announced that the Lightsaber Training experience WILL have a minimum age requirement. Guests must be at least 7 years old to participate.

This could be a pretty major detail for your family! If you’re forking out thousands of dollars for a stay on Galactic Starcruiser, you don’t want to expect your 6-year-old to be able to wield a lightsaber, only to be disappointed.
