The Liberty Square Riverboat Is CLOSING for a Limited Time in Disney World

Planning a trip to Disney World means also knowing what might not be open while you’re visiting.

We like to keep you updated on what we know will be closed during your trip, and let you know if a ride unexpectedly goes down while you’re there! And now, we have an update on a Magic Kingdom attraction that will be closing soon!

The Liberty Square Riverboat will be closed for refurbishment starting Monday, August 23rd.

The Liberty Belle

The last day of refurbishment is listed on Disney’s website as Tuesday, August 31st, so we expect the Liberty Belle to be up and running again by Wednesday, September 1st.

This refurbishment happens around the same time every year for routine maintenance, so we shouldn’t see anything like the entire Rivers of America drained as it was earlier this year when the Liberty Belle was closed for months!

Although, sometimes refurbishments do last longer than expected, so we’ll keep you updated if anything changes! Stay tuned to DFB for news.
