With Disney jumping quickly into the Halloween season, there are a lot of new things going on at Magic Kingdom.
Right now, you can grab Halloween treats, experience After Hours BOO Bash if you’ve purchased your tickets, and more. We’re heading around the park to let you know what’s new in terms of food, construction updates, and merchandise!
We found updates all over the place in the Magic Kingdom this week. Let’s start out by looking at some spooky-themed food and how the DFB team made it 1000% better!
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Main Street Bakery
Walking down Main Street U.S.A., you’ll see the Main Street Bakery offering up a variety of baked goods and Starbucks drinks. This is the home of Disney’s famous colossal cinnamon rolls, and these cinnamon rolls got a Halloween makeover this week!
The cinnamon roll had orange-colored icing instead of the usual white. Unfortunately, this roll wasn’t our favorite. But, it’s possible that we just got a bad batch. You can get the roll for $6.49 at the Main Street Bakery.

If you do get the Halloween version of the cinnamon roll, we have a recommendation that makes it SO much better! Head down to get your favorite flavor of ice cream from the Main Street Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, and use the Mickey ears from the cinnamon roll to make a mini ice cream sandwich!
We did it with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter sauce, which turned an OK treat into something truly magical.

Having had our fill of creative Disney treats, we went to see what’s going on with construction around the Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
In Storybook Circus, Big Top Souvenirs is now open! The store had been closed for quite some time, but it has officially reopened again for guests at Magic Kingdom to enjoy.
There’s a kiosk inside that has lots of delicious sweet treats, like Mickey Krispie Treats, Caramel Apples, and Goofy Glaciers.
Something new came to Big Top when it opened — a good amount of tables and chairs.
Now you can grab a seat to enjoy that caramel apple!

While we were in Storybook Circus, we saw that Pete’s Silly Sideshow — a character meet-and-greet location that often featured characters like Minnie Mouse and others — is still blocked by shrubs.
It appears that the spot is being refurbished as well, so we’ll be checking back to see what updates are made.
If you’re driving to and from the Magic Kingdom, you’ll notice a change in how you leave the parking lot. There’s a new traffic pattern that doesn’t go past the gas station anymore. There were a lot of signs guiding us through the new exit, so be sure to look out for those on your way out.
Now, we’ll jump into the biggest part of this Magic Kingdom update: Halloween merchandise!
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
The Emporium
Let’s begin our Halloween merchandise tour at one of the most iconic Magic Kingdom gift shops: the Emporium.
At the Emporium, we found plenty of new and/or returning Halloween items, like this Mickey and Minnie Mouse Pumpkin Halloween Wreath for $49.99.
There were also light-up Jack Skellington necklaces (which we’ve seen in years past), perfect for trick-or-treating at night.
And to match your fancy necklace, there were Nightmare Before Christmas hats (another fun returning item) as well, with Jack’s many expressions all over.
One of the biggest Halloween finds this week was a new Hocus Pocus-themed item: sparkly crocs!
The Crocs feature some special charms themed to the Sanderson Sisters and the movie overall.

We also spotted some fun Halloween MagicBands, which you can get for $34.99 each. There’s a great orange design featuring Mickey and some ghosts.
If you’re already decked out in the Nightmare Before Christmas items featured above, you might just need to grab this Nightmare Before Christmas MagicBand! This is a returning design which we’ve seen before.

If you’re looking for some not-so-Halloween-themed merchandise, we also found some new onesies at the Emporium that feature some of the great Disney ladies. There’s one themed to Marie from The Aristocats that says “Sweet as can be.”
You can also get a Snow White one that says “Fairest of them All.”
But our favorite was probably the Mary Poppins one, which says “Practically Perfect in Every Way.”
Each onesie was priced at $19.99.
Frontier Trading Post
Next, we made our way over to Frontierland to see if any new things had arrived at Frontier Trading Post, and we weren’t disappointed! There were new Hocus Pocus pins, which come in a mystery box, so you don’t know what you’ll get until you open it.
The pins were $21.99.
We also found a new Haunted Mansion-themed pin, which actually counts down the days until Halloween!
It features the Hitchhiking Ghosts and Madame Leota from the Haunted Mansion ride, and it was at Frontier Trading for $29.99.
Click here to see our full post about the Haunted Mansion pin!
We also saw that the new Halloween MagicBands are available at Frontier Trading for $34.99.
There’s a whole lot of Halloween items to choose from throughout the park.
Parasols and Silhouettes
In Liberty Square, we stopped by the parasol kiosk to check out some fun Halloween additions!
There were parasols with a Haunted Mansion theme…
…and one with a Nightmare Before Christmas design.
Just across the way, we saw some spooktacular Halloween silhouettes at the silhouette cart!
The silhouettes with Halloween scenes are $12, and the frames are an additional $14.
If you’re looking for a unique Halloween item to bring home, a parasol or silhouette could be just the thing!
Star Traders
We jumped over to Star Traders in Tomorrowland next to check out the Halloween findings there.
We saw some of the Halloween-themed Minnie ears are available at this spot…
…along with a cute Trick or Treat Mickey Mouse Pumpkin placard!
Which of these Halloween items would you most want to bring home? Tell us in the comments — we’d love to hear from you!
Rides and Wait Times
During our time in the park, we checked on the wait times at a couple of attractions. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had a wait time of 65 minutes in Fantasyland.
And Haunted Mansion was at 45 minutes over in Liberty Square.
And that’s our basic wrap-up of what’s new at Magic Kingdom! Curious to know if that After Hours Boo Bash taking place at Magic Kingdom is worth it? Check out our video below to see our thoughts.
