SO many new things are coming to Disney World for the 50th anniversary celebration!
There will be new fireworks at Magic Kingdom, new character costumes, new statues around the parks, and more! One thing that was announced was a new daytime show coming to Animal Kingdom for the celebration, and we just got a sneak peek of the show!
Disney KiteTails will bring the magic of nature and Disney storytelling to new heights starting October 1st at Animal Kingdom!
The show will take place several times each day at the Discovery River Theater, near DinoLand U.S.A.
Performers will have oversized props and kites that include favorite Disney animal characters from movies like The Little Mermaid, a bug’s life, and Finding Nemo as you enter the space! This will be accompanied by original, world beat musical arrangements as you wait for the show over the lagoon to start!
Watercrafts will pull the dynamic kite trains and enormous, 3-dimensional kites with characters from movies like The Lion King or The Jungle Book! You might see Baloo the bear or Zazu the red-billed hornbill depicted on kites, some of which are as large as 30 feet in length!
Disney released a sneak peek at some of the kites from the show in a new video, take a look!
We can’t WAIT to see the show in person starting October 1st! Stay tuned to DFB for more updates!

I always wanted to see the Rivers of Light show, but this new show looks very creative and aesthetic. I’d like to see this, also.
