The Halloween season has officially arrived at Disneyland, with all sorts of spooky treats, merchandise, and of course, the return of Haunted Mansion Holiday!
On Main Street, U.S.A., guests can stop by Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor for the Trick-or-Treat Sundae!
This dessert is TWO sundaes in one! The first sundae comes with Sour Gummy Ice Cream with Raspberry Sauce, Gummy Treats, and Fruit Candies. The second sundae comes with Chocolate Ice Cream with Hot Fudge and Chocolate Candy Bar pieces.
It comes served in a traditional Mickey Mouse ice cream bowl!
The sour ice cream tasted like a handful of sour fruit gummies, and the chocolate part of the sundae came topped with Twix pieces and M&M’s.
We actually grabbed a very similar sundae in Disneyland back in 2019, though the Sour Gummy Ice Cream part of the sundae also featured crackling candy cookie back then. Also, back in 2019, the chocolate candy bar pieces we got on the chocolate side were Snickers, mini Hersey bars, and mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
While we loved the sour and chocolate parts of the sundae on their own, once the two halves melted together, it tasted a little too bizarre for our taste — almost like a sour chocolate creation some mad scientist concocted (hey, at least it goes with the Halloween theme). You may want to eat this quickly to enjoy the two sundaes separately, or ask for an extra cup to divide the two before they melt together.
If you want to try this hybrid sundae for yourself, you can find it at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street, U.S.A. for $16.99. There are a LOT of Halloween treats in Disneyland this year, however, so you may want to think about trying some other tasty items first if you’re concerned about the two flavors melting together. Be sure to follow along as we share more Halloween and fall treats from Disneyland!
