The big week is finally here if you celebrate the Christmas holiday! Often, the week of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are among the busiest times of the year in Disney World, and while there is plenty to do around the parks and resorts, there are also plenty of new friends checking everything out with you!
If you’re among those visiting Disney World next week over the Christmas holiday, you’re probably wondering just how crowded it will be! We can look to Disney World’s park hours and Park Pass Reservation availability to plan our days in the parks as well as look for clues as to how busy it may be!
Disney World Park Hours the Week of December 19th
Magic Kingdom will be open from 8AM-8PM Sunday and Tuesday, and from 9AM-11PM Monday as well as Wednesday through Friday, and from 9AM-10PM on Saturday. The park will remain open for an additional two hours for guests at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts on Wednesday. Disney Very Merriest After Hours will take place on Sunday and Tuesday from 9PM-1AM.
EPCOTÂ will be open daily next week from 10AM-10PM. The park will remain open for an additional two hours for guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts on Monday. The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays continues next week from 10AM-10PM each day.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be open daily next week from 8:30AM-9PM Sunday through Friday, and from 9AM-9PM on Saturday.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be open from 8AM-8PM daily next week.
Since the weeks around Christmas are among the busiest all year, it may be to your advantage to extend your time in the parks as much as possible. If you’re staying on Disney World property, you’re eligible for Early Theme Park Entry. Normally this grants you access to any of the four theme parks thirty minutes prior to the posted opening time every day, but during the week of December 19th (through January 3rd), Early Theme Park Entry will begin SIXTY minutes prior to park opening!

Tink says
Don’t go until Disney brings back social distancing. We caught Covid there beginning of December and we’re still not 100 percent t. So not worth it. Way too many people and cloth masks don’t help. That trip has completely ruined our entire Christmas as we still do not feel well enough to mingle with others.
