NEWS: Why You Won't Want to Miss Disney World's New Cavalcade!

Magic Kingdom already has a few cavalcades you can see during your trips there, including a fun 50th Anniversary themed one with Mickey and friends.

But soon a NEW cavalcade — the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade — will be joining in on the fun! This new cavalcade is set to be the BIGGEST one yet, with a whole bunch of characters for fans to see. Earlier today we got news about the cavalcade’s opening date, and now we’ve got even MORE details to share!

First of all, we’ve got to give a HUGE thank you to our friends over at AllEars.net for sharing this exciting news with us and allowing us to share it with you all.

Alright, let’s start with the opening date — the new Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will officially debut in Magic Kingdom on February 11th (and we can’t wait!).

Disney had already shared that the cavalcade will feature Nick and Judy, Baloo, Miguel, Merida, Moana, Elena, Toy Story characters, Clarabelle, and more! Recently, Disney shared even more details about who we’ll see here.

According to Disney, the cavalcade will feature nearly 30 Disney and Pixar friends! WOW. That’s a lot of characters to see!

Some of the characters fans will get to see are Nick and Judy from Zootopia (as we mentioned above), Baloo AND King Louie from The Jungle Book, José Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros, plus Merida, Moana, The Incredibles, and more. Based on Disney’s image, it looks like Marie and characters from Aladdin and Pocahontas will also be there!

Some of the floats used for this cavalcade will have scenes of adventure on the bottom and there will also be a compass featured on some floats.

And, as we mentioned above, fans will also get to see the Magic Kingdom debut of Miguel from Coco and he’ll be in his mariachi best!

As a result of this new cavalcade’s arrival to the park, the Magic Kingdom Cavalcade, which typically features Moana and other friends, will be retired. That’s because some of the characters that normally appear in that cavalcade will be shifting over to the new Adventure Friends Cavalcade. We can’t yet confirm that ALL of the friends from the Magic Kingdom Cavalcade will be moving to the new one, but we know that some will.

Disney also shared that the cavalcade will feature a NEW version of the song “Vamos!” from “Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party!” with updated lyrics written just for the cavalcade!

We can’t wait to hear more details about this cavalcade like what other friends we’ll be able to see and what other fun surprises might be in store. We’ll be sure to look for more updates about that. Check back with us for all of the latest Disney news!
