February is Black History Month, and Disney World is celebrating throughout the park.

Celebrate Soulfully has returned this year and features unique entertainment and merchandise in Disney Springs, special movie viewings, special treats, and other food offerings.
One of those food offerings is some classic side dish! It’s Collard Greens, which are tossed with Bacon (because bacon makes everything better, right?). And yes, we dove right on in. First up, we do have to admit this is NOT our Grandma’s collard greens, but Disney got pretty close here.
Bacon….mmmm….
There is a LOT of bacon here, and the greens have a great salty flavor because of it (oh, yeah). Now, if you’re not familiar with collard greens, all that saltiness might be a little off-putting. They’re also greasy because of the bacon drippings, but that’s how we like ’em. 🤤
A different kind of side dish and we’re here for it.
Although collard greens ARE technically a vegetable, the way they’re prepared is anything but healthy, so if you’re conscious about that, you might also want to give these a pass. We found that the collard greens are DELISH side dish. But picky eaters and those who tend to be particular with textures might just want to stick with french fries instead. We are going to order these over the fries though because they are mega yum and won’t be sticking around for long!
Princess Frog likes collard greens, too.
If you’re wanting to indulge in a little classic soul food at Disney World, though, head on over to Flame Tree Barbecue to give these a try for $4.49. We’re eating ALL the new snacks and foods that show up at Disney World for both Valentine’s Day and Celebrate Soulfully, so don’t go anywhere.
