Welcome back to another edition of all the news from Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Animal Kingdom is gearing up for the debut of the reimagined Finding Nemo show soon, and we recently stopped by to try a Pride Month Cupcake and do some shopping! Wondering what’s new in the park? Come along with us for all the updates!
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
We tried the new Pride Cupcake for $5.99 from Restaurantosaurus, and it’s made with confetti vanilla cake, cotton candy mousse, vanilla buttercream, and a zebra rainbow-print white chocolate Mickey.
The cake was really moist with a hint of fruitiness and the buttercream was your typical cupcake frosting.
The filling for the Pride Cupcake was really thick though and kind of reminded us of Play-Doh, and it didn’t have a ton of flavor. Overall, we liked it, but that filling missed the mark. You can also find this cupcake at Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari, and Creature Comforts.

Animal Kingdom Construction Update
Finding Nemo: The Musical is reopening as a reimagined show called Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond! on June 13th, 2022, and we noticed that the old musical sign was removed from the front of the Theater in the Wild.
The new version of the musical will be different from the original Finding Nemo show, but you will still get to hear classics like “In The Big Blue World” and “Go with the Flow.” The show will also have a Lightning Lane available through Disney Genie+!
