There is SO much to be excited about in Disney World right now!
Although summer crowds and heat advisories have arrived, plenty of fan-favorite entertainment options have returned to Disney World recently! We just saw the grand reopening of the reimagined Finding Nemo musical, meet-and-greets continue to return around the parks, plus Minnie Vans are officially coming back at the end of the month (even though they have already returned a bit early)! And today marks the official return of the Minnie and Mickey meet-and-greet at Adventurer’s Outpost in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but there’s another update you need to know about!
Earlier this week, we noticed that the meet-and-greet at Adventurer’s Outpost was open to guests! A Cast Member told us that it was a soft opening, so the Lightning Lane was not available for the experience yet, but the My Disney Experience app did not note that it had reopened.
Now, though, the Lightning Lane is open for the Adventurer’s Outpost meet with Mickey and Minnie! That means with the $15 purchase of Genie+, you can book a time to skip the line at this meet-and-greet! We love this meet-and-greet because you can take a photo with Mickey and Minnie together! The reimagined Finding Nemo show was also recently added to the Genie+ service.
If you’ve never used Genie+ before, it’s Disney’s new skip-the-line system. The system can be pretty confusing, but don’t worry! We’ve put together tons of guides on how to use the paid Genie+, free Disney Genie, which rides you should book first in each park, and SO much more!
Looking for more to do in Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Well, there’s plenty more to see! Like we said above, the reimagined Finding Nemo musical is now open, the tumble monkeys and more are returning to Festival of the Lion King soon, and Expedition Everest has reopened after a long refurbishment! Keep checking the My Disney Experience app throughout the day, because we’ve seen several shows cancel performances in Disney World recently.
