Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is finally BACK in Magic Kingdom just in time for spooky season!
We’ve already made our way through tons of the party’s snacks, checked out the exclusive merchandise, and shared just where you can find FULL-size bags of candy while there. But now we’ve got a special look at an ICONIC part of the party that has returned.
During our time at the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 2022, weather concerns impacted some of the entertainment offerings, including the party’s Halloween-themed Boo-To-You Parade. The first Boo-To-You Parade actually ended up being canceled because of rain, but we were able to catch it during its second performance of the night.
While most of the parade floats we know and love came back, there was one thing noticeably missing…the Headless Horseman! Typically, the Headless Horseman rides through the streets, seated above a gigantic and gorgeous horse, while holding his jack-o-lantern head. It’s a staple of the party and a big reason why people line up for the parade well ahead of time, so they can get some prime viewing of this spectacular.
The Headless Horseman traditionally rides the parade route ahead of the full parade’s start and the clomping hooves of his horse are both ominous and exciting.
We were disappointed when we didn’t catch him on our first night, but we got the chance to return to the Party another night and HE WAS THERE IN ALL HIS GLORY!

We’re excited to see that the Horseman is back, but keep in mind that his appearance is subject to a few different conditions. If the roads are slick due to recent rain or if there are other concerns, the Headless Horseman may not ride during one or both of the parades during your party night.
Be sure to speak with Cast Members during your time at the event to see if they have any information or updates that might help you with your plans.
