Although the Disney World parks are closed right now due to the incoming Hurricane Ian, we’ve still found a LOT of updates at Magic Kingdom to share with you.
In the past few days, we’ve seen some new and returning snacks, major progress on a couple of construction projects, and TONS of new souvenirs around this park. Come along with us to check out everything that’s NEW in Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Main Street Confectionery
At the Main Street Confectionery, we saw that a long-lost treat has finally returned! This past July, we saw that the original Skittles had gone missing from the list of add-in ingredients at the Kernel Kitchen. In addition, the Dapper Dan mix (which included skittles as an ingredient) was also missing.
Skittles was updating the green flavor from green apple to lime, which explained the missing treats. Now, however, the Dapper Dan mix is finally BACK!
In addition, Skittles have returned to the list of candy add-ins, and bulk skittles are also back in the dispensers along one wall.
Sleepy Hollow Refreshments
The Donald Duck Candy Corn Sipper has finally arrived in Disney World! We found one at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, but they should also be available at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café, and The Friar’s Nook.
This souvenir cup looks like Donald dressed as a candy corn and holding a trick-or-treat bag. The back opens with a straw for your drink. You can get one now for $13.
Pinocchio Village Haus
There’s a new flatbread at Pinocchio Village Haus: the Chicken Souvlaki Flatbread. It’s currently available for $11.99, and it’s made with marinated chicken, tomatoes, cucumber, and tzatziki on top.
We really enjoyed this snack! It’s pretty light and refreshing, and we thought the toppings worked well together.
Check out our full review of this flatbread here.
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Main Street, U.S.A.
Center Street — located just off of Main Street, U.S.A. — still has construction walls up as Disney works on the ground here.
Right now, it looks like they’re adding in new bricks.
TRON: Lightcycle Run
We rode the PeopleMover to get a look at the construction happening over at TRON: Lightcycle Run in Tomorrowland. There are some new concrete areas on the ground, and it looks like more walls have gone up as well.
We spotted ride testing going on as well — it looks like things are taking shape for the coaster’s opening next Spring!
See a full update on the TRON construction here.
