It’s officially happening! Disney World’s Fantasmic! has a reopening date!
The show has been closed since 2020, although we’ve seen some construction progress around the amphitheater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’re excited that some new things are coming to the show, too. But we’re even more excited because Fantasmic! dining packages are also returning!
Disney has announced that reservations for the Fantasmic! dining packages will also return with the show! Thanks to our friend Joe (@schreiberjoe on Instagram) for the heads up!
The dining packages include an entree and appetizer or dessert at select full-service restaurants or one buffet, as well as a non-alcoholic beverage. Guests who purchase the dining package also get a voucher for guaranteed seating in a reserved area for Fantasmic! Here are the restaurants and prices, according to the Disney World website:
- 50s Prime Time Cafe — $51 per adult and $22 for children (9 and under)
- Hollywood & Vine — Breakfast is $54 per adult and $36 per child, while lunch and dinner are $71 per adult and $47 per child
- Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano — $54 per adult and $22 per child
- Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant — $49 per adult and $22 per child
- The Hollywood Brown Derby — $73 per adult and $29 per child
Guests will be able to make reservations for dining packages as of October 26th for performances on November 30th and beyond.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on everything we learn about the return of Fantasmic! and the Fantasmic! dining packages! Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more! Make a note that if you do make reservations for a dining package, make sure you have a valid ticket and park pass reservation for Hollywood Studios on the date you choose!

Can you see the show for free or do you have to buy a dining package?
Judging from years past, is it worth it to get the package?
Do you still make the reservation 60 days out like other dining reservations?
What does this mean for those of us that already have reservations for the restaurant on those nights? We have an 8pm reservation in November.
Would I need a park pass reservation for Hollywood Studios when booking a Fantasmic dining package if I am park hopping there in the afternoon?
Hi Joann! If you’re going to another park first and then hopping over you won’t need a second park pass reservation.
Thanks GiGi!!! I can’t wait to get back to see it!!!
What would you get at an a la carte restaurant like sci fi? App, entree, drink and dessert?
Any word on the Dessert Viewing for Fantasmic yet? We’re visiting in Late April 2023 and planning the MK dessert party, so I sense a theme happening.
I’ve been looking for a Fantasmic Dinning Package since 6am Oct 26 and I have seen zero. Did I miss the three they had available for Dec 5?
Have you heard when they are opening reservations for Fantasmic dining packages for Jan 2023? Have looked daily and cannot book.
I’m also asking about booking the dining package for Fantasmic. Nothing comes up for January and hasn’t ever come up. Are they taking reservations or not yet?
Please let us know.
Hi Ann! Our best guess is that they’re waiting to determine what the Fantasmic show times will be. We have noticed with dessert parties that sometimes it takes a while for the new reservations window to open if they’re still making decisions on when the show times will be.
This conversation is long over, but does anyone know when we will be able to make reservations for Fantasmic Dining Packages for dates after 12/31/22? We are going in January and have not been able to make them. A cast member told me 11/21 (the day I was able to make all other reservations) that Reservations for 2023 had not been made available yet. Do we know when they will be made available? When searching availability on a laptop, it will allow you to select party size and date but will not allow you to select a time to search for availability.
And now I read the previous comments. I know better than this. 🤦🏻♀️😅 Thanks anyway! Definitely, please keep us updated if you find out anything!
